The college has good Infrastructure. The quality of faculty also is not very promising. The college has an average placement statistics with students mostly getting low package but still it is able to grab some good quality companies and even PSUs. But overall the college is a good choice if you don't wanna stay away from your home.

NIT Jamshedpur may not have the best infrastructure but it features among the top colleges in placements. With more than 50 years of glorious past, this college has a history of producing quality engineers who have done really well in their career. Also, Jamshedpur being the heart of a number of industries, we got adequate industry exposure through industrial visits and seminars. A number of exciting events in different fests organised by the student community give a good opportunity to explore life. Above all, one will get best friends for life for sure.

The Unforgettable Teachings of Life

Batch of 2015 | B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering Hons
1. The campus has many lab facilities, library, computer labs and classrooms accommodating around 90 students in each class and well-maintained hostels. It lacks the facility of an auditorium, proper canteen, and more equipped labs. 2. The increase in Alumni relations and company bindings can increase industry exposure since the institute does not lack talent. Every opportunity can be used to the best. 3. Friends, fests, trips during college days and all the lessons of life learnt in the 4 years made it worth staying in the institute. 4. Approaching more companies for placement, helping the TAP cell to function efficiently, improving the infrastructure thereby enabling more and more companies to come to campus. 5. Proper mess, cleaning staff, all time guards, maintained washrooms, geysers, water coolers, well-furnished rooms (including beds, cupboards, mirror, fans), playground. 6. The attitude to encourage students in live projects and assignments, helping with more contacts for better internships and placements. 7. Does not charge very high for a mess and other maintenance facilities. Fees are on par to the other government colleges.

It's a great college from the placement point of view.

Great college from the placement point of view and especially considering its low and affordable fees. It needs to get better in the lab facilities and other opportunities for the industrial experience and personal development viz. Sports, etc. Overall research work should be encouraged and more funds should be allocated for this purpose. It is a college which is looking to compete with the top NITs and can do so on the years to come. Most importantly, it's a hub of brilliant students who have got into big companies even after not opting for college placements, cracked GATE, CAT, etc. And have become IAS and IES officers. The college should develop a better acquaintance of the present students with the well settled alumni.
