NIT Srinagar Facilities

The university offers many modern facilities to the students. With help of NIT Srinagar facilities, students conduct many research programmes and experiments in the different laboratories of the university. The departmental work is also carried out in these laboratories, and regular practical lectures are organised for the students to understand the mechanism of different machines and devices that are frequently employed in their course. Students are allowed to be accommodated in the hostels constructed on the campus. Hostels are provided at affordable prices. Guest house, central workshop, computer centre, laboratories, etc., are some other NIT Srinagar facilities. A well stocked library is present at the university campus for students. Further, the university has facilities for indoor and outdoor sports who sports enthusiasts.

Boys Hostel
The university has four boys hostels - Indus Hostel, Jhelum Hostel, Chenab Hostel and Mansar & Manasbal Hostel. Only students enrolled in B.Tech programmes can avail hostel facilities offered by NIT Srinagar. Each hostel has well furnished room to offer a comfortable stay to students.
Library
The central library of the NIT Srinagar, comprises 67511 books, journals, volumes, editions, study material, learning resources, DVDs, and cassettes for the students to gain adequate knowledge about the required subject. Students can easily find books of various streams at the library.
Laboratories
The laboratories of the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, consist of all the necessary machines and apparatus used for conducting experiments. Through this, the institute guarantees the students to seek practical knowledge of the subject along with theoretical knowledge.
Guest Room/Waiting Room
The guest house of the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, comprises air-conditioned rooms, dining halls, kitchen, lounge, etc., for the guests to enjoy a comfortable stay in the university.
Convenience Store
The shopping complex situated on the campus of NIT Srinagar takes care of all the shopping needs of the hostellers, faculty members, staff, and day scholars of the institute. Daily groceries and other essential goods and commodities like milk, stationery, fruits, etc., can be bought from the shopping complex.
Medical/Hospital
The university offers medical facilities to the students and faculty members. Ambulance service and a team of medicos are available in dispensary 24*7 to attend to any medical emergencies.
Gym
The NIT Srinagar, has constructed a gymnasium for the students to ensure their physical fitness. Hostellers of NIT Srinagar can also avail the facility of the gymnasium.
Cafeteria
The cafeteria of NIT Srinagar offers healthy food and beverages to the students, staff and faculty members. The students can enjoy healthy and tasty snacks and food items at subsidised rates.
Sports
The university offers both indoor and outdoor sports facilities to the students. NIT Srinagar encourages students to play sports, that helps them in keeping their mind and body healthy.
Girls Hostel
The girls hostel present at the campus is a three storey building and it has a total of 50 rooms. The hostel has a computer room, reading room etc. It has an accommodation capacity of 100 students. Each room at the hostel is shared by two students.

College Infrastructure

Although college infrastructure is not too good but as it is in a developing phase we can expect it attain a standard level soon in upcoming years,living space which include hostels are do well maintained but the number of student per room is exceptionally high which is 5 apart from this cleanliness and hygiene is 10/10

College is good, but life at college can be improved

College Infrastructure

Overall the infrastructure of college is not good, and the facilities provided here for hostellers is not comfortable rather it is congested, as there are 5-6 boys living in one room (1st and 2nd year students together). Mess facility is also average and the quality of food should improve.

My experience of this college is very good.

College Infrastructure

Since it has established in 1960 so it has nice infrastructure but it has not new type infrastructure design you can get all needy normally things inside the college campus only it has all the facilities which are needed in the college campus normally. All the department separately have their own building .Quality of classrooms are well. It has also well-equipped laboratory systems it has also Wi-Fi system and LAN system

Hello,

If you want to study CSE stream with a strong placement cell, IIIT Sonepat is the better option than NIT Srinagar. Your ability to explore is a little lower at NIT Srinagar than it would be if you attended college in a big metropolis.

Consider all of your options in detail before comparing the various factors; this will help you get the right solution. This is a preliminary analysis towards a brighter future. I am aware that we don't have much time, but only one choice will affect your future.

NIT Srinagar is Very great in contrast with IUST in numerous ways:-

The placement of NIT Srinagar is extremely good.NIT Srinagar has a 100 percent placement in CSE,IT. Practically 9o% position in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and communication.
Climate of NIT Srinagar is absolutely magnificent. It comes in top 5 most lovely grounds in India.
Workforce of NIT Srinagar is a lot of Experienced and old.
Most elevated bundles for NIT Srinagar is 10lacs-11lacs and normal is 5lacs-5.5 lacs.

Hope you are doing great. According to NIRF 2020 and India Today 2020, NIT Srinagar is ranked 201 for BTech and 39 for BTech, respectively, while NIT Manipur is ranked 158th for BTech.
