Although college infrastructure is not too good but as it is in a developing phase we can expect it attain a standard level soon in upcoming years, living space which include hostels are do well maintained but the number of student per room is exceptionally high which is 5 apart from this cleanliness and hygiene is 10/10
I am pursuing B.Tech in computer science and am currently in the second semester, we talk about curriculum point of view it is very much decent but I guess our curriculum is not so updated ,and research facilities are very much satisfactory but not too good, and as usual it make you 60% job ready rest you have to do yourself
Although placement is decent but we have to compare with other nits ,it stand nowhere over all median salary is 8 lpa including all branched in cse it is 12 lpa highest on campus was from De shaw 35 lpa however only one student grabbed it
if you stand alone in the range of 1-5 lac income your total cost for year will be some what arould 1.25 lac including hostel mess tution fees other wise fro 5 lac + it is around 2 lac per year
as it lags in infrastructure we face lot of issues in organising events ,if talk about location it is considered hostile from other state people point of view but that is a wrong intuiton of this college some issues do happen but those are very rare
Apart from this if you are not geeting any other better nit than this ,i will rather joining a private college join nit srinagar you will not regrett your decision i tried to be very much honest and you can contact me for any query
Overall the infrastructure of college is not good, and the facilities provided here for hostellers is not comfortable rather it is congested, as there are 5-6 boys living in one room (1st and 2nd year students together). Mess facility is also average and the quality of food should improve.
I am studying electronics and communication engg. Because i have interest in this field. The quality of teaching is good and the curriculum is updated after rotation of every 2 years. This field have both jobs available in private as well as in public sector so i guess this will definitely make me job ready.
The quality of placement is very good here. From core companies to tech companies every company comes here to recruit students of our college. Percentage of students getting placed every year vary but from past years its been pretty good. The highest package offered was INR 22 LPA to a CSE student in the batch 2019-20. Average salary offered is 8.9 LPA.
The course fee cost me around 1lakh approx. per year. Yes, i feel I'm getting my money's worth as it is a government college, expenses are less as compared to private colleges but again the hostel facility is pathetic here.
I would like to point out the worst features first, the college has lot of rules and regulations like you cannot roam outside of hostel after 6 PM. I understand it's for security reasons but still some relaxation should be given. The college is located in the safest place possible as of now. Yes, students can engage themselves in various activities. Teachers and staff members are supportive as well. And yes, the college can handle any emergencies.
No, i have already explained everything
Since it has established in 1960 so it has nice infrastructure but it has not new type infrastructure design you can get all needy normally things inside the college campus only it has all the facilities which are needed in the college campus normally. All the department separately have their own building .Quality of classrooms are well. It has also well-equipped laboratory systems it has also Wi-Fi system and LAN system
I am studying computer science engineering from this college the quality of teaching of teachers are well defined. Yes I think the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field.
According to my knowledge the placement of CSE and IT students is about more than 90% and rest of the branches students also gets average placements about more than 70% .Here the placement of civil is also good.
Normally the cost of per semester fee of this college is about 62500 rupees but if you are below poverty line or you come under below 100000 criteria then your tuition fee is totally pardon. But the face changes yearly for the further updates you can consult from its official website.
In NIT SRINGAR you can't go outside of campus always whenever you want you can go outside according to the situation because as we know that it is the sensitive place it is the border of our country which shares the border with other countries So every time the CRPF used to roam here and there and sometimes some type of attacks also occurs there which leads to impose curfew to control the situation. But all the things which you need can access inside the campus. The campus is too big and friendly
Decent infrastructure and more development is going on. Well equipped Normal classrooms and high tech rooms for lectures and special sessions. When it comes to Tribology , NIT Srinagar has one of the best labs in country and a Central Research Facility dedicated to research in Tribology and Materials Technology.

When it comes to Mtech , placements are not upto that mark when we compare to Btech. Majority of students prefer to go for higher studies in India or Abroad. Improvement is required. The placement cell is very well managed and always looking for great opportunities for students.
Excellent value for money.
The campus is situated near the banks of legendary Dal lake of Srinagar and walking distance from Hazratbal shrine and Kashmir University. Good markets are nearby for shopping and good restaurants. Good college
Its infrastructure is very good and the most beautiful thing is you can see a very good scenario out side the campus. But the worst thing is that the area is always enriched with public riots and curfew. Anyway all the facilities are provided.
It is a NIT with low ranking and it is under developing conditions. The curriculum is being updated day by day and the professors are highly qualified and educated and their efforts to our students makes us job ready.
Placement are decent. It is not very bad and increasing day by day. Software and core both has decent placement. The highest package is 15 to 18 lacs and the average lying around 5.5 lacs. Most of the students are placed.
It is value for money.

Hello,
If you want to study CSE stream with a strong placement cell, IIIT Sonepat is the better option than NIT Srinagar. Your ability to explore is a little lower at NIT Srinagar than it would be if you attended college in a big metropolis.
Consider all of your options in detail before comparing the various factors; this will help you get the right solution. This is a preliminary analysis towards a brighter future. I am aware that we don't have much time, but only one choice will affect your future.
Good Luck!!
Hello,
NIT Srinagar is Very great in contrast with IUST in numerous ways:-
Thank You
Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing great. According to NIRF 2020 and India Today 2020, NIT Srinagar is ranked 201 for BTech and 39 for BTech, respectively, while NIT Manipur is ranked 158th for BTech. Its campus spans more than 300 acres. It has 70 faculty members, the majority of whom are PhD holders and highly qualified. At NIT Srinagar, there are 80% chances for placement in the fields of electronics and communication engineering. Nearly six LPA is offered as the average salary package. If they are chosen for placements on campus, it is a good opportunity for students.
ALL THE BEST
