The university offers admission at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels courses. NLSIU Bangalore admission to B.A. L.L.B (Hons) and L.L.M courses is done based on marks obtained by candidates in CLAT and CLAT PG respectively. As per the National Law School of India University admission process, candidates need to participate in CLAT counselling for B.A. L.L.B (Hons) admission. For admission to L.L.M courses, candidates need to participate in CLAT PG counselling. • Appear for CLAT and obtain a valid score. 

• CLAT cutoff is released by the authorities. 

• The eligible candidates need to register and participate in CLAT counselling conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. 

• Candidates are next required to fill college choices in preference order. 

• Colleges are allotted to candidates based on choice filled, CLAT score and availability of seats in the concerned institute. 

• Seats are allotted in three rounds. Candidates to whom seats are allotted in the first round have three options: accept the seat, participate in the second round for upgradation and exit the counselling process.

The varsity offers a total of four postgraduate courses - Master of Public Policy, L.L.M Business Law, L.L.M Human Rights Law and M.Phil. Law. The duration of National Law School of India University PG courses range from 1 year to 2 years.

National Law School of India University Admission Procedure - L.L.M

• Sit for CLAT PG and obtain a valid score. 

• Next, CLAT PG cutoff is released by the concerned authorities.

• Candidates who meet cutoff requirements are required to register for CLAT PG counseling. 

• Participate in counselling and fill choices of colleges in a preference order. 

• Seats in different colleges are allotted to candidates in three rounds. 

• Based on CLAT PG score, availability of seats, choice filled and category of students, colleges are allotted to candidates. 

• Candidates to whom colleges are allotted in first round have three options - visit the allotted college, participate in second round for college upgradation and the last option is to exit the counselling.

• Take up the All India Competitive Examination and fill the NLSIU Bangalore application form.
