About NLU Assam

National Law University and Judicial Academy (NLUJAA), Guwahati was established in 2009. The university is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). As per NIRF 2023 ranking, NLU Assam stood at 28th position under the law category. National Law University and Judicial Academy, Guwahati is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). NLUJAA Assam courses include BA LLB, LLM and PhD Law. Students who are eligible can apply for National Law University and Judicial Academy admission by filling out the application form. NLU Assam admission to the BA LLB will be done based on the marks scored in the CLAT. NLUJAA Assam LLM admissions are done based on valid CLAT-PG scores. For admission to the doctoral courses, students have to qualify for the admission test followed by an interview. Further, students who get their documents verified by the authorities and pay the NLU Assam fees to confirm admission.

The placement cell of NLUJAA provides training to the students by organising various activities such as group discussions, mock interviews, workshops and many more. Companies from various sectors visit the campus to conduct the recruitment drive. The NLUJAA facilities include a library, separate hostels for girls and boys, a cafeteria, medical facilities to cater to the medical needs of the students, a moot court so that students can have practice sessions, transportation, an auditorium and many more. Sports facilities are available for the students.

College Infrastructure

Best infrastructure with modern equipments. I would request aspirants not to go according to old article and make a prejudice against NLU Assam. They are all 2014 articles amd post. From 2014 to 2020 NLUA has risen and now standing among top law institutions.

Pleasant and worth the money.

College Infrastructure

One of the best campuses in India. NLU Assam has two big buildings and a separate building for library. Classes are air conditioned, spacious with a podium and all digital equipments fixed like smart boards . There is a sports complex under construction as of now. WiFi in the campus and hostels. Very well maintained. Living spaces are clean, however the quality of hostel food is low. Nonetheless, food is edible and there are shops nearby.

You haven't mentioned whether your query us regarding UG or PG course. As per the information available in your profile we consider that you are seeking admission in to UG course. The cut off in 2019 in round 3 for general category was as follows

NLU, Guwahati:1471
NLU, Shimla:1299

Looking at the cut off it is very difficult to get seat in these NLUs considering your rank. However, cut off is subjected to change depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of the exam and number of seats available for admission etc.

What is the expected cut-off to get admission in PG programme of HPNLU and NLUJAA?

For NLUJA, Guwahati you'll have to score at least 110 and for HPNLU you'll have to get at least 108 in CLAT for general category students. But even if you manage to score this much it is not certain that you'll get into these colleges because there are several other factors also like the number of seats available for different category students and students having the state domicile. But it's always better to score more in order to be on the safer side.

According to the cutoff of NLU Assam and NLU Shimla the closing rank for being admittes in NLU Assam is 1584 and to get admitted in an NLU Shimla the closing rank is 786 for general category. SO, it is difficult to get you to the seat in NLU as there is no chance for you to get admitted in n l u Assam or SHIMLA...
