Currently l am a final year student of Mtech in geotechnical engineering. I have chosen this branch because l think in our north east, there is a good provision as well as opportunities for civil engineers. In my masters, l am doing the specialization in geotechnical engineering because soil stabilization is a very sensitive and necessary field that we must aware of. I am finding it very interesting to know the mechanism of soil and foundation engineering. The quality of teaching is good.

Hi, it is recommended that you first choose your branch. Looking at the pattern and future opportunities in both the branches there is minimal difference between them. IT is all software based and CSE is Software, Hardware and OS core based. Coming to colleges. NEHU has larger space and better infrastructure. Also NIRF ranking is around 82. So, NEHU is better. You can compare your colleges as well as the branches on the link given below. Hope this helps.
