NERIST Nirjuli Facilities
North Eastern Regional Institute Of Science And Technology, Nirjuli offers well-structured and well-designed facilities for students, staff and faculty on campus. The NERIST Nirjuli facilities include a separate girl's hostel and a boy's hostel, a library which has a good collection of books, magazines, journals and many others. There is an auditorium on campus to conduct the professional and cultural events for students. The NERIST Nirjuli facilities include a good IT infrastructure and medical/ hospitals which serves the students and employees on campus. The medical/ hospital facility assists the doctor in case of an emergency, Bank/ATM and many other facilities are available on campus.

- Boys Hostel
The NERIST Nirjuli facilities include around 7 separate hostels for boys. One hostel each is kept for the PG boys. The hostels are within walking distance of the academic blocks. The boys' hostel complex has two ATMs and a couple of mini-shops; an indoor stadium, a lawn tennis court, a basketball court and outdoor badminton courts. The hostels have separate messes providing healthy food to the residents at a reasonable rate.
- Girls Hostel
The institute offers separate girls hostels on campus. One hostel each is kept for the PG girls. The girls' hostels are safely located inside the residential complex of the faculty members and officers. The hostels are within walking distance of the academic blocks. The girls' hostels have an outdoor badminton court, a basketball court, and a small shop. The hostels have separate mess providing healthy food to the residents at a reasonable rate.
- Library
The NERIST Nirjuli facilities include a Central library and departmental libraries supporting the teaching, learning, research, and extension programme throughout the academic year. They provide a whole lot of collections of books, journals, novels, and much more from across the world. Students can spend time doing reference or research work in the library and enhance their understanding and knowledge.
- Auditorium
The auditorium is the venue for cultural activities, departmental functions, technical fests, and performing arts. The auditorium contains seats up to 500 accommodations, and it is well furnished with LCD projectors and soundproof audio-video facilities. The auditorium is often used by schools within the campus for their annual functions.
- Medical/Hospital
NERIST Nirjuli health unit has around six beds in the hospital with a 24-hour emergency ward and hosts other facilities and laboratories. It also provides a 24/7 emergency ambulance in case of emergencies. The unit is staffed by two regular medical officers, one contract medical officer, and one pharmacist, nurse, ANM, dresser, and lab technician.
- I.T Infrastructure
The ET cell mainly manages and maintains the Internet Connectivity to the Institute, Local Area Network (LAN), Wi-Fi LAN, Server Firm, and different Services. It was established as a project sponsored by the MHRD, GOI, with an objective to increase the effectiveness of the teaching-learning process with the help of modern audio-visual equipment and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
- Banks/ATMs
To make easy transactions for students there is a Bank/ATM on campus. The students can access the Bank/ATM whenever they need it.

College Infrastructure
Having the fact that its a 36 year old college, some buildings in the campus needs to be renovated. But the new buildings has all the essential facilities. In the new academic block, the classrooms are well equipped. The Central Library has all our books which is needed for the entire sem. Some of the laboratories need renovations and upgrade the equipments used. Gym, Football ground, Busketball and Badminton Courts, indoor stadium are provided to us. The living spaces, food hygienic are fine.

Yes, the college have provided us with good facilities as well as equipments but the quality of maintenance is not good. Periodic maintenance is necessary but sometimes it does not work as per our expectations. However, the quality of teaching is good , students ar very active and cooperation of faculties and students are really appreciable. Library is well maintained and wifi facilities are good. Moreover the quality of food is good as compared to my previous hostel life.
Overall, it is going good so far.

Do hostels in Nerist have 24-hour Wifi facilities?
NERIST that means North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology Cona,Andhra pradesh.had big campus with 10hostels .8 for boys and 2for girls.One each for PG hostels .Every hostel has its regular fecility and have a good enviornment for study and education.Yhe wifi fecility is available for 6pm to 6AM only. - M. Tech applicants should have a B. Tech. or equivalent degree with a CGPA of 6.5 on a scale of 10 or an aggregate score of 60%. ...
- Candidates should also have a valid GATE Score, in the absence of which, they will have to appear for the NERIST PG entrance test - NEPGET..

which one would be better choice- North eastern hills University (NEHU) IT or NERIST CSE??
Hi, it is recommended that you first choose your branch. Looking at the pattern and future opportunities in both the branches there is minimal difference between them. IT is all software based and CSE is Software, Hardware and OS core based. Coming to colleges. NEHU has larger space and better infrastructure. Also NIRF ranking is around 82. So, NEHU is better. You can compare your colleges as well as the branches on the link given below. Hope this helps.
