The campus placements for students in their final year are managed by a placement department at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology Nirjuli. In order to facilitate the training and placement of students, the NERIST Nirjuli placement department acts as a bridge between students and companies. The NERIST Nirjuli placement cell organises campus interviews and assists students in developing their leadership, interviewing and communication skills. The NERIST Nirjuli placements conduct campus recruitment drives, online screening tests, student counselling workshops, Customized Training programmes and workshops for facing placement interviews, mock tests, and alumni interaction.

Hi, it is recommended that you first choose your branch. Looking at the pattern and future opportunities in both the branches there is minimal difference between them. IT is all software based and CSE is Software, Hardware and OS core based. Coming to colleges. NEHU has larger space and better infrastructure. Also NIRF ranking is around 82. So, NEHU is better. You can compare your colleges as well as the branches on the link given below. Hope this helps.
NERIST placement cell provides industrial training to the B.Tech pre-final year students for a period of 30 days or 4 weeks. This is considered a part of their curriculum. Students are sent to reputed organisations so that they can get hands-on experience for a better learning experience. These training are scheduled during the summer vacations.
