PUCHD Admission Process

Panjab University grants admission to students for various courses through different mediums. The university will grant admission not only on the basis of merit of student but also on the basis of the marks that a student obtains in the entrance exam that is conducted by the university. Entrance exams like PU CET UG, PU CET PG, PU MET, PU THAT, PU MEET, PU LEET are conducted by the university. A student wanting to be a part of Panjab University has an option of 189 colleges affiliated to PU to choose from. Admissions pertaining to both graduation and post-graduation are offered by the university. The university conducts Group Discussion/ Personal Interview/ Counselling rounds before the last rounds of selection of the candidates. Based on the number of the marks scored in the entrance exam held by the Panjab University such selection process occurs after which the applicants are shortlisted. The university conducts Group Discussion/ Personal Interview/ Counselling rounds before the final selection of the candidates. These Panjab University admission rounds take place after candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the marks scored in the Entrance Exam conducted by the Panjab University.

Panjab University International Student Admissions

Panjab University grants admission to International students in various courses. 10 percent seats are reserved for the candidates who are NRI from the total number of seats in each course.

Desiring candidates need to apply for the entrance exam to admit themselves in the University if they are in India at the time of the process of admission. Only those candidates who are not present in India at the time of conduct of examinations will be kept exempt from this process.

On submitting a valid CAT score the aspirants who are willing to get enrolled in courses like MBA will be considered. However, scores of GMAT will be considered instead of the scores of CAT in a situation wherein the candidate was not available in the country at the time of the process of the examination.

Along with the application form the candidates need to send the documents as follows:

Steps for Admission on the basis of PU CET UG:

Fill up the PU CET UG form and apply for the program interested in and pay the requisite fee for the test.

PU will declare the cut off percentiles for PU CET UG.
Qualify for the PU CET UG for the required program.
Candidates will have to meet the required cut offs that are declared by the PU.
PU will declare the names of the applicants who are eligible for the process of admission on the website.
PU will conduct physical counselling after the process of clearing PU CET UG.
Documents submitted will be verified and enrollment in university will take place after the exact amount of fees that are required to be paid at the the time of admission is paid.

PU CET PG Admission steps:

Candidates need to fill the PU CET PG form. Thereafter, they are required to apply in their desired programme and lastly pay the test fees
The cut off percentage for PU CET PG will be declared by Panjab University.
The candidates need to secure above the cut offs to get qualified.
Thereafter, Panjab University will announce the selected participants who can go further with the admission process.
A physical counselling will be conducted by Panjab University once the candidate clears the PU CET PG process.
The selected candidates are required to submit their documents and get them verified in university. Then they will make the fee payment during admission.

PU MET Admission steps:

A student needs to download the form and register online.
Login Id and password is to be noted.
Pay the requisite fees and download a challan that will be provided.
Download the application form and take a printout of it and post it to the University.
Take print out of the admit card and appear for the exam.
The cut off percentile will be declared by the PU.
Qualify for the PU MET for the required program of management.
PU will declare names of eligible applicants on the PU website.
PU will conduct interview and group discussion after the PU MET eligibility.

For academics, it is good. Teachers are well experienced. They are very helpful, cooperative and nice. The curriculum is designed according to the guidelines of University but it doesn't help students to give any Competitive exam.
