Candidates are offered admission at Punjab Agricultural University at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Punjab Agricultural University admissions are offered in the following branches: food processing, sciences, agricultural science, forestry, horticulture, genetics, fashion and textiles, agriculture, nutrition and food, communication management, fashion design, biochemistry and microbiology. Admission to diploma programmes at Punjab Agricultural University is offered based on merit followed by an interview, there shall be no entrance test for PAU Ludhiana diploma admissions. The university conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET) for PAU Ludhiana admissions to B.Sc. Agricultural Hons, B.Tech Biotechnology, B.Tech Food Technology, B.Sc. Community Science Hons and B.Sc. Horticulture. PAU CET qualified students are also eligible for Punjab Agricultural University admissions to M.Sc. integrated programmes. Candidates can apply either through online or offline mode, but for diploma admissions only offline applications are accepted.

Admission to postgraduate programmes: M.B.A., Master in Journalism and Mass Communication, M.Sc. and M.B.A. Agri-Business is offered based on the scores of PAU MET followed by counselling/interview/document verification. Candidates wanting to take admission in M.B.A. programmes have to appear for written test, group discussion and personal interview. For PAU Ludhiana admission in Ph.D. programmes, candidates must appear for PAU PET- Punjab Agricultural University Ph.D. Entrance Test. The minimum percentage of marks required to be obtained in the PAU PET to be eligible for counselling/ interview is 20%. Punjab Agricultural University admissions to Ph.D. programmes are made based on the performance of candidates in the entrance examination, masters research by thesis and interview. The candidates, who are awarded Fellowship by ICAR/CSIR/UGC will be admitted to the Ph.D. programme of the university against additional seats in the concerned discipline without PAU PET.

• Step 2-  After visiting the official website, click on the link ‘PAU Admission, online entrance test application form’

• Step 3- Candidates must fill the required particulars in PAU Ludhiana online application form and upload a scanned copy of the photograph and signature.

• Step 4- Applicants have to pay ` 5640/- for each entrance test that includes the cost of downloaded form/ prospectus (`610/- for additional option in MET-Agri & MET-Community Science). Applicants opting for CET must pay Rs. 7740/ via credit card/debit card/net banking/ challan.
