ApplyRajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala was established under the Punjab Act of 2006. The state university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). RGNUL Patiala has been accredited with a grade of ‘A’ by NAAC. The RGNUL Patiala courses are B.A.LLB.Hons, L.L.M. and Ph.D. Law. At RGNUL, there are eleven hostels (6 for boys and 5 for girls). All these blocks are equipped with separate mess/ dining facilities. All hostels are fully air-conditioned with an attached mess. RGNUL has single dormitories and double dormitories. Students with special abilities are provided rooms with all facilities attached so that they can get physical and mental comfort in their own rooms. Residential facilities like guest houses, VIP guest houses, twenty-eight teaching houses, thirty-two non-teaching houses, and sixteen houses for Class IV staff are in full use.

The total number of seats for the LLM course shall be sixty (60).
