The admissions in Sido Kanhu Murmu University, Dumka (SKMU) are done on a merit basis. The merit list is made by considering the marks obtained by the students in the 12th standard or in their graduation (whichever is applicable) and the seats are allotted at the undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) levels. 

For admissions in the MBA program, the merit list is made by considering the marks obtained in the MAT examination. The candidates need to apply from the chancellor portal for applying for admission.

SKMU Eligibility for Undergraduate

• The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years.

• The candidate should have passed the 10 + 2 standard from the Jharkhand State Board or any other recognised board.

• The candidate should have scored an aggregate of a minimum of 45% marks in the 10 + 2 standard.

SKMU Eligibility for Postgraduate

• The candidate should have completed graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

• The candidate should have scored an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks in the graduation.

Sido Kanhu Murmu University, Dumka (SKMU) Application process

• Go to the official website of the university and click on the admission button.

• You will be redirected to the chancellor’s admission portal, where you need to apply for the admission.

• Start filling out your application form carefully and select the program you are seeking the admission. 

• Upload all the necessary documents such as the 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, graduation marksheet (whichever applicable), migration certificate, character certificate, proof of caste certificate (if applicable), recent photographs and also upload your signature.

• After you've completed the application form, you'll need to pay the application fee . You can do this using online methods like net banking, credit/debit card, or other available online options.

• Take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.

The university will announce the merit list of the eligible candidates and the students will be offered admission to the university.
