Spicer Adventist University, Pune, was established in the year 2014 under Maharashtra Act XIV. The SAU is the second Self-Financing Private University in Maharashtra and the first Christian minority institution in Maharashtra. The SAU is recognised by the University Grants Commission and accredited by NAAC with a grade ‘B’. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and B.Ed. programs in various disciplines such as the arts, commerce, and science. Admissions to undergraduate programmes are based on previous academic scores. Postgraduate programmes such as MA and MSc admissions, are based on merit. Spicer Adventist University, Pune, offers scholarships to its female students to help them cover the cost of their education. The scholarship is offered by the Lila Poonawalla Foundation. The scholarship is applicable to female students in the B.Sc. programme in Spicer Adventist University. If the student's academic performance is good, by continuing with the same college, the scholarship will continue. The SPU scholarship is for the female students in bachelor's programs in animation, bioinformatics and biochemistry, computer application, computer science, mathematics, physics, and statistics who are academically strong and financially disadvantaged for the BSc.

It is a wonderful place of learning. Fully equipped laboratories with all the necessary things has beautiful infrastructure and the teachers are phenomenal. They deeply focus on educating not on advertising to get more students. Students enjoy WiFi, peaceful environment.
The University owns several clusters of building. Like Administrative block etc.In classroom 50-60 students can seat together, has wifi connection all over the campus except hostels. Each classrooms have smart board and projectors. Each department has special equipment for the perticular course ex- Cartography equipment.
