Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU) was established in 1981 in Anantapur. SKU Anantapur has five constituent colleges under its administration - SKU College of Arts, SKU College of Sciences, Sri Krishnadevaraya University College of Engineering & Technology, Sri Krishnadevaraya University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, SKU College of Education. The College of Sciences at SKU comprises 16 departments that offer 19 postgraduate programmes. SKU College of Engineering and Technology, provides three M. Tech. programmes and five B. Tech. programmes. SKU College of Education began offering M.Ed. and B.Ed. programmes in 2007-2008. SKU College of Pharmacy began offering M. Pharmacy with three specialisations and B. Pharmacy programmes in 2008-2009. The university has 102 undergraduate colleges and 19 postgraduate colleges under its affiliation. The university has a total faculty size of 85 members and 2,446 students. Sri Krishnadevaraya University is spread over a campus size of 482 acres.
