There are a total of 143 courses offered at SRMIST. SRM IST courses are offered at four levels: diploma, UG, PG and doctoral levels. There are a total of 7 SRM Institute of Science and Technology Chennai diploma courses. The duration of the SRMIST Chennai diploma course ranges from 1 to 2 years. Some of the scholarships offered are Founder’s Scholarship, SRM Merit Scholarship, SRM Arts and Culture Scholarship, Differently Abled Scholarship.

For NRI/ PIO/ OCI candidates, they have two options. In option 1 candidates are required to apply for SRMJEE and can avail domestic fee. In option 2, candidates can avail 50% fee waiver with SAT or with a score of 70% above in HSC grades. There is a tuition fee waiver of 50% on annual tuition fee for the candidates from Africa, Asia and SAARC. It is applicable both for UG & PG programmes except few courses.

No, in order to attain admission in a B.Tech course at SRM University, Chennai, SRMJEE or JEE Main. For admission in the BBA course, the accepted exam is SRMHCAT. Similarly for admission in MBA course, the accepted entrance examinations are CAT, CMAT, NMAT by GMAC, XAT, MAT, GMAT, SRMJEEM, TANCET.

For B.Tech engineering courses at SRM University Chennai the fee varies as per the branch opted. For B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, the fee is around Rs 16 lakhs, for B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, the fee is around Rs 10 lakhs while for B.Tech Civil Engineering, the fee is around Rs 5.10 lakhs and so on. For MBA, the SRM university fee is approximately Rs 7.60 lakhs. There are other UG courses as well offered by the university for which fee structure varies accordingly.
