Hence, if you are assuming that if you can't score well in TISSNET, you may not be able to get admission, but it's not true..

How is B A Social Sciences course & faculty at TISS,Tuljapur ?

Hi,

When it comes to choosing the ideal college for BA in social sciences especially in India, TISS should be your most logical choice in all aspects.

BA in social sciences from TISS will give you an edge as TISS has courses for Masters and PhD as well. I personally know a lot of my classmates who came to TISS for their Bachelors and they never left. So there shouldn't be any doubts about the college's brand image and reputation.

As far as social sciences as a field of study goes, I personally did my graduation in commerce which I now regret. Social sciences is a very broad field culminating psychology, sociology, rural development, philosophy, policy, economics, finance, administration and several other fields. This helps in gaining a wider perspective and knowledge on what's happening in the world.

According to me, social sciences is the field of the future along with technology and engineering. So if you want to jump into a field which excites you and where there are no saturation levels, social science is the way to go.

With reference to your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that the TISSNET cutoff varies every year and is different for different category students.

However, looking at the previous year cutoff trends, the minimum TISSNET cutoff for OBC Category students in 2022 is expected to be in the range of 60-70 marks.

College Infrastructure

I have done a long distance course from Tata institute of social sciences from Arena animation in Gurugram. Teachers and the studies are very good, and they always provide help whereever and whenever a student needs. I have seen the college and it's infrastructure is amazing. Everything is well managed here.

College is having all necessary infrastructure regarding academic purposes but when it comes to sports, it lack adequate resources like Playground and all. Classroom are equiped with advanced technology.

College Infrastructure

TISS mumbai has 2 campuses, new and old. Both campuses are absolutely beautiful, green and serene! The academic buildings for lectures are marvelous, spacious, with ACs in some, projectors in most, good benches and chairs. Apart from lecture halls, there is a 6 floor library, a dedicated gymkhana, 2 canteens, badminton, volleyball courts, a central area for students to sit, talk and do their work in their free time, a good amphitheater and so on. Digital infra is commendable too.

Admission to TISS is based on TISSNET followed by TISSPAT and online interviews. Candidates who score above the cutoff are eligible for admission to TISS. Through management quota and NRI quota seats, candidates can get direct admission to MBA or LLM management programs.

2: How many seats are there in TISS?

TISS intake differs for each campus. Candidates can visit the official website of TISS, tiss.edu to check the programs with intake offered at different campuses of the Tata Institute of Social Science.

3: Do I need to give TISS NET entrance along with TISS PAT exam?

A candidate who scores above the cutoff of TISSNET has to appear TISS PAT exam.

No negative marking for TISSNET for any program.

5: What is the eligibility criteria for admission to UG courses through CUET at TISS Mumbai?

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Analytics and Sustainability Studies eligibility criteria are as follows - candidates appeared for their 12th class or Intermediate final exams and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. The upper age limit for Gen. candidates is 20 years, OBC is 22 years and for SC & ST candidates the age limit is 24 years as of 31st July 2022. Date of birth as recorded in the secondary education board is the only authentic proof that will be accepted.

6: Which UG courses does TISS Mumbai offer through CUET?

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Analytics and Sustainability Studies.

7: How can I get admission to TISS Mumbai UG courses?

TISS started its UG courses from its Guwahati, Tuljapur, and Hyderabad campuses in 2012. Candidates may apply to these programmes through CUET.

Yes, TISS Mumbai offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Analytics and Sustainability Studies. Moreover, TISS offers a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science (BASS) from its other campuses.
