Tata Institute of Social Science has a centralized placement process for all its campuses. The Centralised Placement Cell was established in 2014, in order to bring placement in one platform. The Centralised Placement Cell (CPC) takes care of TISS Mumbai placement of its all schools excluding HR and Public Health. The cell provides pre-placement training and campus corporate training to the students. The main objective of the cell is to establish and enhance with both the profit and not-for-profit sectors to develop an ongoing interface mechanism. Various placement activities are conducted by the cell such as seminars, conferences, workshops etc that give a student platform to interact with teachers and experienced industry professionals.
Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai placement process includes sending invites to the recruiting companies, registration for participating in the campus placement drive, shortlisting the candidates based on their resumes and criteria provided by the companies, pre-placement talk which is a two-way communication where students get an insight about the company and can interact with the employers, written tests in order to judge the verbal ability, logical aptitude, reasoning and technical knowledge, HR and Technical round and last, offer letters to be provided to the selected candidates. Every year, various companies participate in TISS Mumbai placements some of which are Andhra Pradesh Urban Finance Infrastructure Development Corporation, Aditya Birla Group, Accenture, Aajeevika Bureau etc.
