Tezpur University Admission Process

Tezpur University, Tezpur offers admission to the undergraduate, dual degree, postgraduate and doctoral courses in various areas. Admission to some courses will be done through the All India Level Entrance Examination while for some courses aspirants have to appear for the University Level Entrance Examination. The detailed admission process is given below:

For Undergraduate Courses (B.Tech/B.Ed/B.Voc)

For B.Tech, the admissions will be based on JEE Main
Candidates have to qualify the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main).
Eligible candidates have to register and apply online and pay the application fee.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for the counselling process at the College.
If seats remain vacant, admission will be done on the basis of Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) counselling only.
For B.Ed. and B.Voc, admission will be done on the basis of the performance in the Tezpur University Entrance Examination (TUEE).

For Dual Degree Courses:

Candidates have to visit the official website to register.
They have to fill an online application form by paying the application fee.
Admission will be done on the basis of the performance in the Tezpur University Entrance Examination (TUEE).

For Postgraduate Courses (M.Tech/MA/M.Sc/PGD/M.Com/LLM/MBA/MCA/MTTM)

For M.Tech, candidates with a valid GATE score will be given direct admission to the College.
For MA, M.Sc, PGD, M.Com, LLM, MCA and MTTM, admission will be done on the basis of the performance in the Tezpur University Entrance Examination (TUEE).
For MBA, candidates should have a valid MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/GMAT/CMAT score.
Eligible candidates have to apply online by filling an application form.
Based on the scores obtained in MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/GMAT/CMAT, candidates will be called for a personal interview at the College.

For Doctoral Courses (Ph.D)

For admission to Ph.D., candidates have to appear for written test followed by a personal interview.
UGC-(NET/JRF)/UGC-CSIR(NET/JRF)/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/ICAR-NET/GATE/ SLET/M.Phil qualified candidates will be exempted from the entrance test.

I am currently studying Bcom and the course curriculum is quite updated with special emphasis on the new topics. The teachers are very cooperative. The course is also designed in a way that a student can get the most out of it. the learning experience is further enhanced with assignments, presentations and group discussions

I had a overall good experience in my 4 years of B.Tech life

I was a student of computer science and engineering 2016-20 batch. This department is one of the best computer science department in North East after IIT Guwahati. This department is BRICS NU member, MHRD's center of excellence and member of Ministry of IT's ISEA project . It has a high performance computing center , well equiped labs , robotics lab etc. The academic curriculum is up to date and helps students to become job ready.

TEZPUR UNIVERSITY. A beautiful experience.

Academics

Food tech department in TU is really well equipped. The labs are one of the best. The professors are amazing. They all are excellent in their own fields. Of course, its a mix of both. There are few not so good ones as well but over all it is amazing. The classrooms have projector facilities. The labs are big and have some of the best equipments.

Hello,

The University is prosperous and independent. It is located in a prime area and enjoys generally pleasant weather all year round. It has many departments for various courses, and each department is fully equipped with modern labs and high-tech classrooms. The university is Wi-Fi enabled throughout. The university's core library is housed in a three-story structure containing many books, reading rooms, and other sections. The best part about this hostel is that there is no ragging! The rooms, internet, and food are all fairly decent here.

In addition to these, the university offers separate fields for archery, cricket, badminton, lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball, and other sports. It also includes a swimming pool. Daily necessities can be satisfied at the stores on campus and in the canteens of each dormitory.

how is the placement food engineering at tezpur University?

Hi,

Tezpur University has a nice campus. Now for food engineering and technology, faculties are good but at the end of the day, your self study will count. Placements are decent, or sometimes just fine or close to average. Computer Science is said to have the maximum number of placements, almost 94%. But for other streams the same can't be said.

For Food engineering, companies like ITC, Dabur, Adani group, Nestle etc visit. Internships are also provided to students in companies like Mother Dairy, Britannia. And with each year, they are showing gradual improvement in the placement rate. Average CTC ranges from 3-12lpa.

Should I join nit Durgapur mechanical or Tezpur University cse.My family is not financially stable so I want to join a college with low fees.

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you're doing well.

I want to let you know that both these colleges offer B tech in Rs. 2,30,000.

So I think this is the cheapest fees to study B. Tech in a top institution.

Afterall, don't opt for a bad institution over a good one just for the sake of fees. This is the matter of education and NIT Durgapur and NIT Tezpur, both are better and cheapest possible institutions.
