Tezpur University Facilities
Tezpur University was established in 1994 by the government under an Act by the Parliament. It has been a central university ever since, with its ranking of 64. It boasts its ‘A’ accreditation by the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and its affiliation to UGC. The School of Engineering was established in 2006 and supports about 9 streams of study. The campus is based on a land of about 261 acres and provides a lot of facilities, which is why it is a choice of college for many engineering aspirants.

- Girls Hostel
Bordoichila Women's Hostel holds the legacy of being the first girls' hostel of Tezpur University. It was previously known as Bordoichila Chatri Niwas. There are a total of 72 rooms for the residing borders with a capacity of two borders each.
- Library
The campus also features a great library facility. The Central library is an important part of the campus and accommodates all kinds of books and journals to help students gain all the information they’re looking for. In addition to that, the university has a large collection of about 83436+ books, 10000+ e-journals, and 9616 back volumes of journals. It also has an online portal where the books and journals are present in an online format. It holds an online database from the e-ShodhSindhu consortium and DeLCON consortium. These can be accessed anywhere on the campus.

The university also has a gym supported with all the equipment to help children be healthy and engaged in physical activities. Students can get a subscription for the same.
- Sports
The campus supports great playgrounds to encourage the sportspersons. The sports ground contains the gymnasium, volleyball ground, basketball ground, badminton court, tennis court. When the university started in 1996, the equipment was quite limited. But with the years, it has expanded on the same and encouraged sports and cultural activities by hosting about 25 cultural events and one annual sports event yearly.
- I.T Infrastructure
To ensure hands-on experience with technical courses, the Tezpur university offers a great IT infrastructure with its Computer Centre established in 1996 that has a great setup of computers and other such well-equipped labs to make students proficient in their learning.
- Medical/Hospital
The Health Centre of Tezpur University has been in the picture since the establishment of the campus. It ensures the health and well being of the students on the campus. The people available in the health centre include a pharmacist, two lab technicians, and 2 staff nurses. It also offers services for OPD and has beds for emergencies. There is an allocation of a Health Officer that has to be present on the campus at all times in case of any emergency.
- Auditorium
Tezpur University also has an auditorium that helps it endorse functions and seminars on the campus itself.
- Cafeteria
The University also has many cafeterias and food joints on the campus for the faculty and the students.
- Guest Room/Waiting Room
The guest house is built on a 2-acre land which has 45 furnished rooms. It also has a conference room and a dining room which has 40-seater capacity. The guest house can be booked online. The Internet is available in the guest house for 24 hours. Both veg and non-veg foods are offered in the guest house.

College Infrastructure
The college campus is one of the most beautiful Campus of Assam. The campus is well equipped with advanced infrastructural facilities , with a gigantesque Central library offering free access to resources around the world. The whole campus is wifi enabled , the classrooms have smart boards and are well maintained. Hostel rooms are also well Maintained., the food of the mess is also satisfactory.

College Infrastructure
Tezpur University is a central University situated at Tezpur ,Assam. It has all necessary infrastructure ,facilities and equipment. It has a world class campus surrounded by green environment. All classrooms are digital, having wifi connection accessible in all classroom and in all departments. All laboratories have every facilities and equipments and air conditioned. All hostels have wifi connection, common room and indoor sports facilities . University has world class sport facility,gym.

College Infrastructure
Tezpur university has one of the biggest libraries in north east. It also has well furnished guest houses for parents to visit and stay there. The hostels and classrooms are also very well equipped. The size is also good. Its sufficient. The food in the hostels are also hygienic. The food situation is rather very good in comparison to many other institutes. We've basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, tennis court, swimming pool, and a lot more.

The University is prosperous and independent. It is located in a prime area and enjoys generally pleasant weather all year round. It has many departments for various courses, and each department is fully equipped with modern labs and high-tech classrooms. The university is Wi-Fi enabled throughout. The university's core library is housed in a three-story structure containing many books, reading rooms, and other sections. The best part about this hostel is that there is no ragging! The rooms, internet, and food are all fairly decent here.
In addition to these, the university offers separate fields for archery, cricket, badminton, lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball, and other sports. It also includes a swimming pool. Daily necessities can be satisfied at the stores on campus and in the canteens of each dormitory.

how is the placement food engineering at tezpur University?

Tezpur University has a nice campus. Now for food engineering and technology, faculties are good but at the end of the day, your self study will count. Placements are decent, or sometimes just fine or close to average. Computer Science is said to have the maximum number of placements, almost 94%. But for other streams the same can't be said.
For Food engineering, companies like ITC, Dabur, Adani group, Nestle etc visit. Internships are also provided to students in companies like Mother Dairy, Britannia. And with each year, they are showing gradual improvement in the placement rate. Average CTC ranges from 3-12lpa.

I want to let you know that both these colleges offer B tech in Rs. 2,30,000.
So I think this is the cheapest fees to study B. Tech in a top institution.
Afterall, don't opt for a bad institution over a good one just for the sake of fees. This is the matter of education and NIT Durgapur and NIT Tezpur, both are better and cheapest possible institutions.
