Agricultural Science, Agricultural and Food Engineering, and Agricultural Engineering are the different branches in which the University offers courses. UAS Bangalore offers courses at two different levels that is at undergraduate and postgraduation levels. UAS Bangalore UG courses are B.Sc and B.Tech. Whereas UAS Bangalore PG course is M.Sc. And Doctoral course at the university level is Ph.D. All the UAS Bangalore courses are offered full-time with specialisations. The duration of the courses at the university is two, three, four, and six years. Aspirants meeting the prerequisites as prescribed by the university are eligible to apply.

After completion of the Msc in Plant Breeding and Genetics course, the graduates can work as Plant Breeder, Plant Geneticist, Farm Manager, Agronomist, Assistant Professor, Associate Researcher, etc. The average salary after completion of this course is around INR 3 lakh to INR 5 lakh per anum.
The candidates can pursue doctorate courses after this course. Some of the options are PhD in Genetics and Plant Breeding, PhD in Agronomy, PhD in Horticulture, etc.
