The university of Burdwan has a placement cell that is dedicated to students to help them get placed. The cell conducts programmes to improve students' soft skills and hard skills. The cell helps in developing soft skills of the students through group discussions, mock interviews, webinars, seminars, and other things. The students are encouraged to arrange vocational training for themselves by their own efforts. Apart from placements, students are provided with internship opportunities as well. Internships allow non-final year students to gain experience in industrial work culture and to ensure better results during the final recruitment process.
According to the Burdwan University placement data (NIRF report) 2021-22, the university has had successful placement drives. Out of a total of 87 UG 3-year programmes students, 37 students were placed, with a median salary of Rs. 1,50,000. During the same year, 1142 students were placed from the PG (2-Year) Programme, with a median salary of Rs. 2,37,000.

If you have appeared for MAT exam and the test exam conducted by Burdwan University, the university will consider the MAT score for giving admission to MBA.
Top 70 candidates with highest marks in the exam will be called for group discussion and viva voice test. The exam is out of 400 marks.
