Kalyani University Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The university campus has six boys hostels. Over 522 students can be accommodated at six boys hostels at the campus. Basic facilities like water, electricity, telephone services are provided to students. Admission in boys hostels is done based on the distance from the residence and family income of the student.

There are a total of three hostels for girls students at the campus. The girls’ hostels have a combined accommodation capacity of 290 students. Kalyani University hostel facilities are 24*7 water & electricity, telephone services etc. Based on the distance from residence and students' family income, admissions are offered at the girls' hostels.

Established in 1968, Kalyani University health centre provides medical assistance to students, faculty members, staff members and their family members. The health centre has one full-time doctor and one part-time doctor. Clinical pathology, X-Ray and ambulance services are also available at the health centre.

The gym of the university is managed by the Department of Physical Education. To train students professional coaches are also available. The gym is modern and has all the necessary equipment.

The central library of Kalyani University was established in the year 1961. The library has books, reference books, journals (print) and e-journals. Furthermore, the library has a seating capacity of 150 people. Students and faculty members can find ample study materials at the library.

The varsity campus has an indoor badminton & table tennis court, 400m athletic track, football ground, cricket ground, basketball court, volleyball court etc. for students. Every year numerous sports events are conducted by the Kalyani University Department of Physical Education.

A robust infrastructure is provided by the university to its students. The campus has modern technology and equipment for students to use. The university also has wi-fi for students and staff members.

A hygienic and well-maintained cafeteria is located inside the university premises. It offers a variety of foods and beverages to students & staff members at an affordable price.

The varsity has three fully air-conditioned auditoriums - Vidyasagar Sabhagriha, Acharya Prafulla Chandra Sabhakaksha and A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Auditorium. Various academic and extracurricular activities are conducted at the auditoriums.

For the convenience of students, the varsity offers a transportation facility to students and faculty members.

Kalyani University has department-based laboratories at the campus. The labs allow students to perform experiments and research without any hindrance and promotes learning and growth.

The varsity has a two-storey guest house. All the rooms of the guest house are fully furnished and air-conditioned. The guest house provides accommodations to people visiting the university for academic and administrative purposes at reasonable rates.
