The university offers admissions at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Kerala University admissions are offered in the following areas: law, constitutional and administrative law, mass communication, commerce, social work, library and information science, general management, computer applications, fine arts, physical education, planning engineering, computer science engineering etc. Kerala University admissions to undergraduate courses except for B.F.A. and B.PEd. are offered based on academic merit. There is an entrance test conducted by the university for admission to B.F.A. and B.P.Ed.
For Kerala University PG admissions, candidates need to appear for an entrance examination. A rank list shall be made based on candidates performance in the entrance examination. For sponsored candidates, ranking shall be based on 80% weightage for CGPA/aggregate marks at bachelor level and 10% for work experience (1%/year) and 10% for an interview conducted by Department Council.
