Mysore University Facilities

The varsity campus comprises the latest and updated facilities and infrastructure. The university has a library with a rich collection of books and journals, separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls, canteen etc. University of Mysore facilities and infrastructure provides an amiable environment to the students. Auditorium, gym, medical centre, wifi, convenience store, bank etc. are some more Mysore University facilities available for students. University of Mysore also has facilities and infrastructure for sports. The varsity has a cricket stadium, tennis courts etc. A well-maintained swimming pool is also situated within campus premises for students use.

Boys Hostel
The university has four dedicated hostels for boys students. University of Mysore hostel facilities are only available for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The boys hostel rooms are spacious and ventilated.
Girls Hostel
The four separate girls hostels are located at the campus. Admission in girls hostels is only given to UG and PG students. The girls hostels have all the basic facilities for students.
Medical/Hospital
The varsity has a health centre to take care of the medical needs of students and staff members.
Gym
The campus consists of a well-maintained gym. The gym has all the latest equipment for cardio, weight training etc.
Library
University of Mysore library has over 12,50,000 books, journals, magazines, theses etc. Furthermore, the library has 18000 e-books and 7500 e-journals for students and faculty members. Various departments of the university have dedicated libraries as well.
Sports
A well-maintained cricket stadium and tennis courts are there at the university campus. Adding to it, Mysore University has three indoor stadiums as well. Students can use sports facilities during leisure.
I.T Infrastructure
The computer centre was established in 1980 under the guidance of UGC. It has the latest and updated systems that cater the needs of students and faculty members.
Cafeteria
The canteen of the university serves delicious food and beverages to students and faculty members. The food served is hygienic and pocket friendly.
Auditorium
University of Mysore auditorium hosts numerous academic and non-academic events. A major number of departments have dedicated seminar halls as well. The university also has an open-air theatre with a seating capacity of 10,000 people.

What is the placement process followed at Mysore University?

The University of Mysore offers placement to students who pass with more than 80% marks in academics. There is a separate section for managing placements and every student receives emails about campus placements. Final semester students are eligible for placement. They can register for the campus drive by email and they will be notified about the interview.
