NBU Facilities

Facilities like boys hostel, girls hostel, library, auditorium, cafeteria, IT infrastructure, wi-fi, sports, gym, medical clinic, laboratories, convenience store, parking facility, etc are available at the university. University of North Bengal facilities are available for students, staff and faculty members. Library, cafeteria, wi-fi, medical clinic, transport facilities can be availed by both students and faculty members. There are numerous resources like books, periodicals, journals, magazines, newspapers available in the library. Hygienically prepared and delicious food is available in the university cafeteria. Basic first-aid facilities are provided by the university medical clinic. NBU Siliguri facilities also provide guest rooms for visiting faculty and student family members.

Boys Hostel
Ramakrishna Hall of Residence, Vidyasagar Hall of Residence, Research Scholars Hostel and Vivekananda Hall of Residence are the hostels available in the campus for boys. NBU Siliguri boys hostel facilities have uninterrupted supply of water, electricity. Rooms are well-furnished with necessary appliances.
Girls Hostel
There are more than one girls hostel in campus. They are Nibedita Hall of Residence, Sarojini Hall of Residence, Research Scholars Hostel, Rani Bhawani Hall of Residence and Purneswari Hall of Residence. The hostels provide comfortable accommodation to outstation students and rooms are well-ventilated and well-furnished.
Guest Room/Waiting Room
Guest rooms with a canteen facilities are provided by the university. Payment-based accommodation for visiting faculty and family members of students is available.
Banks/ATMs
On-campus State Bank of India and 24X7 ATM facility is available for students and faculty members.
Library
Students, teachers and research scholars can access the library for academic and research purposes. University of North Bengal library facilities include books, journals, periodicals, newspapers, magazines, etc.
Sports
The university provides both indoor and outdoor games facilities to the students. The indoor and outdoor games include chess, carrom, badminton, table tennis, tennis, basketball, volleyball, cricket, handball, football, etc.
I.T Infrastructure
The university has a computer centre and provides research, teaching and training assistance to the students, teachers, research scholars and administrations. The computers are connected with Local Area Network (LAN) and have better bandwidth. All the academic and administrative building including hostels are well-connected with fiber optic wi-fi network, controlled and managed by the servers of the computer centre.
Cafeteria
Both the students and staff members can avail the cafeteria facility during their free time. The cafeteria serves multicuisine and nutritious food at reasonable prices.
Auditorium
Rabindra Bahnu Mancha and Vidyasagar Mancha are the auditoriums of NBU Siliguri. The auditoriums are huge and can accommodate a maximum number of audiences. NBU Siliguri auditorium facilities are used for organising events and seminars.
Transport Facility
University of North Bengal transport facility has a fleet of buses for communicating from university to Siliguri. The transport facility can be availed by students and staff members on a chargeable basis.
Alumni Associations
Wifi
The whole campus is enabled with wi-fi. Apart from that, wi-fi hotspots at University Guest House, PG Student Canteen and Guest House for Human Resource Development Centre are offered.
Medical/Hospital
The university has an on-campus medical clinic, which provides a first-aid facility to the students and staff members for free.
Parking Facility
Parking facilities for two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles are also available. Both the students and faculty members can make use of the parking facility of the university.
Gym
University of North Bengal multiple gym facilities are available for both boys and girls students. The gym is equipped with modern equipment for workouts.
Convenience Store
The university also has convenience stores like snack shop, consumer-cooperative shop, stationery shop, photocopy shop, etc on the campus.
Laboratories
NBU Siliguri laboratory facilities include modern instruments and apparatus for practical purposes. Every department has its own laboratories.

College Infrastructure

The college campus area is quite large and it has got different building for different departments, Law Department has got its own campus. The college has got canteen which provides good food and also a hostel for both Boys and Girls. The college is regularly updated with best available facility.
