• VIT admissions 2024 are open for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Candidates can apply through VITEEE 2024and VITREE 2024

Vellore Institute of Technology offers admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level programmes in full-time mode. VIT Vellore B.Tech admission is based on candidates' performance in the VITEEE exam, which is followed by VITEEE counselling. Admission to other courses, such as B.Sc, BBA, B.Sc, B.Com, and M.Sc, is based on previous qualifying exam performance. Admission to the B.Arch programme requires a valid NATA score. The VITMEE entrance exam score is accepted for M.Tech and MCA admission. VIT Vellore admission to the B.Des and M.Des courses at Vellore is based on candidates' UCEED and CEED scores.

VIT Vellore UG Admissions 2024

VIT Vellore offers 36 undergraduate programmes - B.Tech, B.Sc, BCA, BBA, B.Arch, B.Com, B.Sc Agriculture Hons, B.Des Industrial Design, and dual degree programmes are among them. The B.Tech programme has a four-year course duration.

VIT Vellore B.Tech Admission Process

• Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria. 
• Next, eligible candidates must fill the VIT Vellore application form available on the official website.
• Following that, candidates have to appear for the VITEEE conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology.
• Next, candidates are shortlisted based on their VITEEE score.
• Shortlisted candidates must register for and attend VITEEE counselling.
• Candidates are required to fill in their preferences and select VIT Vellore as their first choice.

• VIT Vellore selects candidates for personal interviews based on their performance in the higher secondary and UCEED.
• The qualified candidates are then invited for a personal interview/skill test.
• In addition, candidates must attend VIT Vellore counselling.
• The final list is compiled based on the performance in the interview/skill test during the counselling process.
• Candidates who are selected for VIT Vellore admissions must get their documents verified and pay course fees.

VIT Vellore B.Arch Admission Process 

• Eligible candidates must take NATA and obtain a valid score.
• Next, they have to fill out the application form along with the application fee.
• Candidates are shortlisted for personal interviews by the university based on their performance in 10+2 and NATA.
• The qualified candidates are then invited to take the GDPI/Skill Test.
• Candidates must attend VIT Vellore counselling.
• The final list is compiled based on candidates' performance in the GDPI/Skill Test at the time of counselling.

• Aspirants have to fulfil the eligibility criteria.

• The university publishes a merit list based on candidates' 10+2 results and subject of study.

The institute offers postgraduate programmes like - M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc, and M.Des Industrial Design are some of the PG courses offered by VIT Vellore. The M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc, and M.Des programmes are of two years.

VIT Vellore PG Eligibility Criteria 

VIT Vellore Admission Process- M.Tech/MCA

• Students have to meet the eligibility criteria and apply on the official website of the university.
• Next, eligible candidates have to appear for the university-sponsored VITMEE.
• VIT Vellore selects candidates for admission based on their VITMEE performance.
• The website will be updated with the list of shortlisted candidates, or a personal SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number for online counselling.
• Candidates who have been shortlisted are asked to select their preferred campus and branch.
• Selected candidates have to get their documents verified and pay the VIT Vellore admission fees.

VIT Vellore M.Des Admission Process

• Eligible candidates have to appear for CEED and get a valid score.
• Following that, they have to fill the online application form.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview/counselling session.
• The allocation of seats for the programme is final and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
• Once assigned a seat, selected candidates must confirm their admission by having their documents verified and paying the VIT Vellore admission fees.

VIT Vellore M.Sc Admission Procedures 

• Aspiring students must meet the eligibility criteria.
• Next, eligible students have to fill the online application form.
• Admission is based on performance in the UG qualifying examination (or its equivalent).
• The candidates who have been shortlisted based on their merit are then called for admission.
• Candidates are assigned seats in the order of merit based on their UG grades.
• Once selected, candidates must get their documents verified and pay the desired course fees.
