WBSU Kolkata Admission Process

West Bengal State University, Kolkata offers admission to PG level courses. WBSU admissions are offered to M.A, M.R.S, M.Sc and M.Com programmes at the postgraduate level. Admissions at WBSU are done based on the merit of the qualifying examination. Honours graduates from a recognised university in West Bengal of the current and previous two years are also eligible for WBSU admission. For candidates from other states, they have to pass an equivalent course from any UGC recognised university/institute.

WBSU Application Process

Visit the official website of WBSU.
Fill up the WBSU application form and submit it.
After the online submission of the application, a copy of the application is to be downloaded.
A printed copy of the downloaded application along with relevant supporting documents self-attested by the candidate is to be preserved for future reference.
Pay the application fee online.

M.Sc	504	Candidates must have passed bachelor degree of 3 years duration B.Sc. (Hons.) or equivalent under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognised university.
M.R.S	31	Candidates must have passed honours graduate in any subject from any recognised university.
M.Com	58	Candidates must have passed bachelor degree of 3 years duration (B.Com./B.Com Hons. or equivalent) under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognised university.

WBSU Admission Procedure- M.A/M.R.S/M.Sc/M.Com

Candidates have to meet the required eligibility criteria.
Then they have to register themselves on the official website of the university.
Candidates need to fill up the application form and submit it.
Candidates have to pay the application form fee.
WBSU admissions are offered based on the merit of the previous qualifying examination.
Final admission is offered after documents verification and fee payment.

hey, currently I am in 1st year in Bidhannagar college, West Bengal State University, Kolkata.... so I wanted to know can I change my college in 2nd year in different university? like is it possible to get in Calcutta University in 2nd year or St. Xavier's, Kolkata (autonomous)?

Hello Aspirant,

See it depends upon the course in which you are enrolled and also on the college in which you are seeking admission. Because in course like B.Tech. there is an option of lateral entry through which you can get direct admission to 2nd year of the program, provided that you must have completed diploma before your first year or as you qualifying examination. As per New Education Policy you are allowed to change course as well as college in mid of the course but it is not yet implemented pan India, so I would recommend you to go through the rules of your college regarding admission withdrawal during the ongoing course.

sir please help me. i am wbsu under graduate history honours student. my first year general subject was history. it will possible my second year general subject will same political science please tell me?

Hey

Since, in the first year you had history as your general elective subject, therefore this year as well means in the second year as well your general elective subject will be the same and you do not need to reselect it again .

However if you wish to change your general elective subject then you may do it by contacting your college authority or mailing them, mostly all colleges allow to change the general elective subject in second year but not in the third year.

so you can contact the concerned authorities or respective teacher and ask them to change it, they will guide you .
