World University of Design, Sonipat offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. World University of Design admissions are offered to B.Des, B.A Built Environment and Habitat Studies Hons, B.B.A, B.V.A, B.Arch, B.P.A, M.B.A, M.Des, M.V.A, M.P.A, M.Arch, Ph.D Design Management and Ph.D Design Management Part Time programmes. World University of Design admission to the B.Des programme is based on Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by WUD, Sonipat. A valid score in UCEED/NID/NIFT/D-Art can be considered instead of DAT. Then, candidates who qualify the aptitude test need to appear for a personal interview. 

For admission to B.A. Hons. and B.P.A. programme, candidates should qualify the aptitude test followed by a personal interview conducted by the university. World University of Design admission to the B.B.A. programme is offered based on the General Aptitude Test (GAT) followed by a personal interview. To be eligible for World University of Design B.V.A admission, candidates must appear for the Art Aptitude Test (AAT) followed by a personal interview. World University of Design admission to the B.Arch programme is done on the basis of the entrance exam- NATA or JEE Main. Following the announcement of the results and cut off, the counselling process will begin, and the institute providing admission based on NATA score will conduct separate counselling for admission.

Admission to M.B.A Design Strategy and Management programme is offered based on the PG - General Aptitude Test (PG-GAT) conducted by WUD, Sonipat. A valid score in CAT can be considered instead of PG-GAT. Then, the qualified candidates are required to appear for a personal interview. World University of Design admission to M.Des is based on the PG-Design Aptitude Test (PG-DAT). A valid CEED/NID/NIFT/D-Art score can be considered instead of the PG-DAT. Further, candidates qualifying the aptitude test are required to appear for a personal interview. World University of Design M.V.A admission is done based on the PG-Art Aptitude Test (PG-AAT) followed by a personal interview. World University of Design admission to the M.P.A programme is done on the basis of an Aptitude Test conducted by WUD, Sonipat. Next, the qualified candidates have to appear for a personal interview.

For World University of Design admission to Ph.D programmes, candidates are required to appear for the Ph.D entrance test conducted by the university. Candidates who clear the UGC (NET/JRF), CSIR (NET/JRF), ICAR (JRF/SRF), GATE/GPAT or ICAR Teacher Fellowship examination are excluded from the Ph.D entrance test. Candidates who qualify the Ph.D. entrance test have to appear for an interview. Final admission is confirmed after seat allotment, document verification and WUD admission fee payment.

World University of Design Ph.D Admissions

World University of Design, Sonipat offers two doctoral programmes. The Ph.D programmes offered by the World University of Design are Ph.D Design Management and Ph.D Design Management Part Time. The course duration of the World University of Design Ph.D programme is 6 years. The eligibility criteria for World University of Design Ph.D admission is that the candidates should hold a master’s degree with an aggregate of 55% marks in a relevant discipline or equivalent from a recognised university.

World University of Design Ph.D Admission Procedure

• For World University of Design Ph.D admission, candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria.
• Candidates need to fill in the WUD application form and pay the application fee.
• Then, candidates have to appear for the Ph.D entrance test conducted by the university.
• Candidates who qualify UGC (NET/JRF)/CSIR (NET/JRF)/ICAR (JRF/SRF) examination/GATE/GPAT/ICAR Teacher Fellowship are exempted from the Ph.D entrance test. (GATE/GPAT score should be valid at the time of admission.)
• Further, candidates who qualify the Ph.D entrance test should appear for an interview. The candidate must score a minimum of 50% marks on the entrance test to be eligible to appear for the interview.
• The final selection for admission to Ph.D. is based on the performance in the entrance test (40% weightage) and presentation/interview (60% weightage).
