I think in northern area, everyone knows about this college, good faculty, helpful teacher's, placement is good. As this is a government college so infrastructure is improving day by day,,one of the reputed college in Haryana or in Delhi NCR....we all know in private colleges admission and fake certificates given mostly, but in YMCA you have to study for the semester paper.. admission is taken on the basis of jee mains merit list, online councellingor physical councelling,No any other source, so don't get confuse,, hostels and canteens are there, and very helpful seniors are there who guide you,,,many clubs are there in YMCA e.g. vivekanand manch(social and cultural activities),srijan(painting),natraja(dancing),tarannum(singing), photography club, sportclub ,TMR supra and Baja ,etc..you can join with your interest, good environment to improve your self ....

The placements are above average. TCS is the biggest recruiters. For Computes department, the placements are in fact quite good. Samsung, Adobe, Snapdeal, Thoughtworks, TCS, Mahindra, Newgen, STMicroElectronics, Samsung Engineering, Samsung Heavy Industries, Honda, Maruti and Daikin are few of the main recruiters I can think of right now. For EEE departments there are not as good as Computers and Mechanical. Campus life is quite enjoyable. You have complete access to malls, movie theatres and markets. Being in NCR, the diversity and gender ratio is great. Still you will find lesser girls in mechanical engineering for obvious reasons. Delhi in now just a 30 minute metro ride. In fact YMCA has a metro station just outside its boundary. Sports fest is something that I wasn't involved in much but it used to be a treat to watch the cricket match between the faculty members. There are great literary, art, dramatics, music and technical clubs and societies. Many from these clubs have won great competitions at IITs and PEC and NITs. The curriculum is designed quite well and the knowledge of the students is above average. There are 6 branches-Computer Science, IT, Mechanical, ECE, Electrical and EIC-Electronics Intrumentation and Control. It is the faculty that disappoints you. If you go ask students from any engineering college in India, you shall get a somewhat similar answer except for a few exceptions like the IITs, IISc and few of the NITs. Everyone agrees that during a B. Tech. course, one has to self-study only. Same is the case with YMCA. Most of the faculty is far below the minimum requisites of a college faculty. So, you can not expect to learn anything from them. Though there may be one or two exceptional professors who will actually teach you something. Elements Culmyca is YMCA's annual Cultutral-cum-tech fest and usually, it is scheduled in months of February or March. The enthusiasm is very high and students get to explore a lot of things and the best part is that there is very little interference of the faculty in the organization of the fest. The management is not at all cooperative and will trouble you all your four years. Though I have heard of improvements from my juniors, yet I restrict to my experiences. Being a government funded institute, the functioning is pretty useless. There will be few times you will have to be very patient with the admin people and trust me, you can never ever bring out your temper.

YMCA has always made me feel proud to be a student of YMCA. In each and every way it has helped me succeed in my life. The teachers are very supportive and friendly. We are not only given theoretical knowledge. We are given practical knowledge also. I recommend you YMCA.

YMCA is a deemed university. It has many streams of engineering, CS, IT, mechanical, electronics and electrical. I am a mechanical student. Placement of mechanical department is the most in this college. If you opt for YMCA, then mechanical is the only branch in which scope is good.
