Best college and Good faculty

Posted on 15 Jun' 18 by Ayush Kumar Sinha
Batch of 2018 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
I think in northern area, everyone knows about this college, good faculty, helpful teacher's, placement is good. As this is a government college so infrastructure is improving day by day,,one of the reputed college in Haryana or in Delhi NCR....we all know in private colleges admission and fake certificates given mostly, but in YMCA you have to study for the semester paper.. admission is taken on the basis of jee mains merit list, online councellingor physical councelling,No any other source, so don't get confuse,, hostels and canteens are there, and very helpful seniors are there who guide you,,,many clubs are there in YMCA e.g. vivekanand manch(social and cultural activities),srijan(painting),natraja(dancing),tarannum(singing), photography club, sportclub ,TMR supra and Baja ,etc..you can join with your interest, good environment to improve your self ....

Good Reputed College

As all know, YMCA has good reputation among all NCR engineering colleges with AAA+ rating and somwhere it's AAAA , also located at prime location which helps a lot . College infrastures is now under construction (maintaince, All class rooms interior is now superb.. as compared to last year(2016) , Hostels are also under maintainance and still the work is in progress for many things). College fees(tution fees) is low(approx =70,000 per annum), as compared to private colleges(approx = 2-3 lac per annum). Now , for placements YMCA is very good enough , packages are more in IT sector and for Mechanical branch . There are lots of club here such as Manan("IT sector", technical), Eklavya, Natraj(dance), Micro bird(electrical), Srijan (Art & Painting,, myself in srijan..hehe), Vividha( acting) etc etc... NOW , ACCORDING TO MY ADVISE If u are coming to this college for study then this college is for u , and if u think that we only enjoy (which was my fault) that u surely regret after 1 year. Your colleagues will surely very ahead of you and u surely regret.

YMCA University is good platform for technical students. Truly saying the infrastructure is bad but inside that structure there are many enchanting stuffs. No restrictions for issuing sports equipment in scheduled time. Labs these day are properly coordinating. YMCA lacks many things but they are not basic. One problem is that we need to pull chairs to sit from other classrooms for taking lectures. Hostel facilities are not good. Worst part is canteen is not good. And drainage problem usually occurs during rainy season s. Still We can establish a good future here.

Ymca provides a good platform for students to devIelop. It provides good platform to grow at technical as well as cultural level. But teachers here are more busy in research.Hostels are good from the view of providing good food and hygiene, but there is no peace.Songs are played by some students at high volume and there is much noice and one more thing hostels do not provide single and double seater rooms. There are mostly 4 students in each room.University is very good from the view of visiting scholars from different fields and sharing their experiences and knowledge.

YMCA is the best college of Haryana. It is a state government University. Infrastructure is improving day by day. More companies should be brought in the field of Electrical and Electronics for internship and placement. The college friend made life enjoyable. Infrastructure of hostel should be improved. student crowd is good. The fees of the course is very less because of being the state government college.

Self Study No Teacher

Here you have to do study yourself as no teacher is able to make us study properly. Every day we have more than 4 periods empty, means without teacher. No proper Labs, playground, sports equipments, teachers, machines, etc. Recently, Our University has got 50 Crores for development in infrastructure, labs. I can say very surely management team of University will spent only 5 Crores in college and rest 45 Crores will go in the pocket of officials.

YMCA gives freedom to explore yourself, experiment and innovate on academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. It provides a hub for cultural events and fests and encourages student initiatives. The faculty is so supportive and friendly. A good place for typical engineers where you can find lifetime friends.Infrastructure is not that good, an annual seminar to provide industrial exposure, no great visits outside campus as such, Academic projects are authentic, unlike other engineering colleges.

Awesome place but need hard work

The placements are above average. TCS is the biggest recruiters. For Computes department, the placements are in fact quite good. Samsung, Adobe, Snapdeal, Thoughtworks, TCS, Mahindra, Newgen, STMicroElectronics, Samsung Engineering, Samsung Heavy Industries, Honda, Maruti and Daikin are few of the main recruiters I can think of right now. For EEE departments there are not as good as Computers and Mechanical. Campus life is quite enjoyable. You have complete access to malls, movie theatres and markets. Being in NCR, the diversity and gender ratio is great. Still you will find lesser girls in mechanical engineering for obvious reasons. Delhi in now just a 30 minute metro ride. In fact YMCA has a metro station just outside its boundary. Sports fest is something that I wasn't involved in much but it used to be a treat to watch the cricket match between the faculty members. There are great literary, art, dramatics, music and technical clubs and societies. Many from these clubs have won great competitions at IITs and PEC and NITs. The curriculum is designed quite well and the knowledge of the students is above average. There are 6 branches-Computer Science, IT, Mechanical, ECE, Electrical and EIC-Electronics Intrumentation and Control. It is the faculty that disappoints you. If you go ask students from any engineering college in India, you shall get a somewhat similar answer except for a few exceptions like the IITs, IISc and few of the NITs. Everyone agrees that during a B. Tech. course, one has to self-study only. Same is the case with YMCA. Most of the faculty is far below the minimum requisites of a college faculty. So, you can not expect to learn anything from them. Though there may be one or two exceptional professors who will actually teach you something. Elements Culmyca is YMCA's annual Cultutral-cum-tech fest and usually, it is scheduled in months of February or March. The enthusiasm is very high and students get to explore a lot of things and the best part is that there is very little interference of the faculty in the organization of the fest. The management is not at all cooperative and will trouble you all your four years. Though I have heard of improvements from my juniors, yet I restrict to my experiences. Being a government funded institute, the functioning is pretty useless. There will be few times you will have to be very patient with the admin people and trust me, you can never ever bring out your temper.

It's the 2nd best college in Haryana. There should be something special in it for getting up there. The best thing about YMCA is its simplicity. It has got what it takes to be a good college. And it has got the precious tag of being a government college. It's affordable, got good staff. If they improve their infrastructure a little bit, then they can become better.. Coz there's always a scope for improvement.. ;)

The college has a tremendous infrastructure and gives it's students a fulfilling opportunity to rise and excel in their respective fields. Hostel life and its trend also give students a chance to mature themselves from students to adults. Some teachers are really well qualified and have a deep knowledge of their subject while some are partial and are do not deserve to be there where they are.Placement is average but for mechanical engineering students there is a great opportunity to excel in their respective fields and grab tremendous packages in great companies.

I joined this college because here placement is good. Although the infrastruture is not good but still it is a good college. Most important is that it is a government college. College life here is also gud. There is so much exposure to other activities also like drawing, singing, dancing, photography and I feel it is very good for students as they are able to develop their skills.

When I entered the college for the first time, I didn't like it and I thought not to take admission in it. But because of my father I step into it and now, I think it was the best decision I took.Though infrastructure is not up to the mark but other features make it best university in Faridabad. teachers are so helpful and friendly that student approaches them without any hesitation. the robotic lab is also there for the students who have an interest in electronic and especially robotics. The most important and special thing in YMCA is the no of different clubs of different activities. students can take part in an event of their choice and passion. It gives them a new exposure of life.the placements are also good ....far good than any other colleges in Faridabad. no kind of any ragging and other bad activities takes place inside the campus. It has well-furnished audio, conference hall, and much more....and above all the mechanical lab is best in whole North India.

First I will start with campus location, the campus is on 1 min walk to Escort Mujesar metro station. It is located in NCR which has its own set of advantages. The size of the campus is decent. From the infrastructure point of view, the college is fair enough u can't compare with rich private colleges. There are some really good students with some good ranks along with u can compete. There are some really good clubs both technical and cultural to make the college life more exciting. Campus placement is awesome, students get placed in some really good companies like Samsung, Maruti etc. So you will get opportunities to get placed in good companies. The faculty is really good as u will get really experienced teachers.Labs are good well equipped with instruments. Seniors are always there to help you. Hence, any individual will enjoy his/her 4 years in the college.
