Bose studied in a Bengali-medium school in Munshiganj, where he learned life skills and a love of nature. Bose graduated from Calcutta University with a degree in Physical Sciences.
Chandrasekhar attended Presidency College, Madras from 1925 to 1930, where he earned a B.Sc. (Hon.) in Physics. He joined the faculty at the University of Chicago in 1937 and remained there until his death.
Bhabha attended the Cathedral and John Connon Schools, Elphinstone College, and the Royal Institute of Science in Bombay. He graduated from Elphinstone College with a B.Sc. in physics and mathematics.
Ramanujan attended the University of Madras in 1903 and then went to Trinity College, Cambridge in 1914. In 1916, he received a Bachelor of Arts by Research degree, which was the predecessor to the PhD.
Raman enrolled at Presidency College in Madras in 1902. He earned his B.A. in 1904, winning the gold medal for physics and topping the class. He then earned his M.A. in 1907 with the highest distinctions.
