Aim your attention as you are spotting a laser light; put all your attention on that one person who is speaking.
No need to write all the paragraphs word for word; instead, try to focus on only the key points, which will work best to remember the whole context.
Do not act smart as if you understand everything at once. If any query comes to your mind, ask a question by simply raising your hand.
Do not conclude the message by yourself; listen to the whole context presented in front of you first, then come to the conclusion.
Pay attention to their facial expressions, their way of saying things, and mainly their tone of voice.
The more you practice, the more you master it. Actively engage your ears with the words, saying the more you do it easier it will become.
After completing sentences or paragraphs, quickly summarise the statement in one or two lines in your head, which will help you to remember the information for longer.
It sounds obvious, but to listen well, you need to talk less! Give the other person space to share their thoughts without interruption. When they are finished, then it's your turn.
