The Bangalore-based Bangalore University (BU) was established in 1964. Few colleges and organisations are affiliated with Bangalore University. The university is recognised and it offers certification, diploma, UG/PG, and Doctoral courses to interested students. Bangalore University strives to meet the academic expectations of students studying a variety of courses through their teaching.

The admissions to Bangalore University programmes are done based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam or their merit. Bangalore University is divided into six faculties for academic purposes: engineering, education, law, commerce & management, and the arts. Its mandate encompasses 48 Post Graduate Departments, one Post Graduate Centre at Kolar (established in 1994–1955), four University Colleges, 684 Affiliated Colleges, as well as numerous additional Centres and Directorates of Higher Learning and Research. Bangalore University currently offers 50 postgraduate courses as well as employment-focused diploma and certificate programs. Bangalore University Scholarship

Bangalore University was established in the year 1964 and is in the Garden City of India, Bangalore, Karnataka. The University of Bangalore is authorized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by the NAAC with Grade ‘A’. The university is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is ranked 68 for University by NIRF 2020.

Bangalore University is structured into six faculties, namely Arts, Science, Commerce & Management, Education, Law, and Engineering. It also has four university colleges, 684 affiliated colleges, and several other centers and directorates of higher learning and research under its purview. Depending on different factors, Bangalore University gives its students different scholarships. Given below are the details of the scholarships that students pursuing different courses at the university can avail-

Only one scholarship or financial aid can be available to a student at a time.
Students who use a free (non-paying) university hostel are not entitled to obtain a scholarship from the university or government for any other free ship.

Scholarship	Eligibility
Government of India Post-Matric Scholarships	Only Karnataka students belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) whose parent’s annual income is less than or equal to INR 2,50,000.
Minorities Scholarship	The candidates belonging to minorities (i.e., Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Anglo-Indians, Jains, etc.,) whose Parents’ Annual Income is less than INR 44,500 are eligible to apply for Encouragement Fund/ Fees reimbursement from Minorities Welfare Department (MWD) as per the norms of MWD.
Special Scholarships	Special Scholarships for Children of Government Employees/University Employees who die in harness, administered by the Director of Collegiate Education or the University as the case may be.
Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship	Single Girl Child who happens to be the only child or girl who is a twin daughter in the family is eligible to apply only through online mode.
Honorable Vice Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship	The scholarship is for meritorious students (1st to 5th Rank) who come under the Below Poverty Line as defined by the Government of Karnataka. For each department of Bangalore University, the grant amounts to INR 500 per month for 10 months per year.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is too large and have best facilities related to music equipment and library for students. They also provided separate hostel facilities for both girls and boys and each classrooms and living space areas are maintained hygienically.

does Bangalore university give grace marks if I got failed by 3 marks in 2012

Hello Aspirant,

Bangalore University is now going to give out grace points. One of each student's total marks for that semester or year will be set aside as grace marks under the new system, which will take effect this academic year. Six total grace marks will be granted if there are six subject areas in the semester or year with a combined score of 600.

A subject that has more marks than necessary to pass the test may receive grace marks in the range of three to four marks for sure.
