The KEC College of Education, affiliated to the University of Tiruvannamalai, was started in 2006 to train teachers in Tamil Nadu. This institution can be found at Chinnakangaynur Village, Pallikondapattu Post; this institution is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college at the moment has 55 students and nine members of the faculty.
The college currently has several facilities to support the students learning process as well as their development. Sports amenities for all student’s are provided to encourage the youth in taking up the sports as a profession, as well as, to enhance tactical aptitude. An auditorium is used for event and seminars which helps to develop the academic and cultural activities of the college. College library is another important asset, it has a stock 3980 books, 306 volume and 1871 titles. It also patronages 20 journals, 13 national magazines, and 7 international magazines for the students to acquire ample amount of educational literature. For the practical learning purpose, the college has departmental laboratories. IT Facilities also consist of a Computer Lab with more than 20 computers connected with Internet to make students technologically capable and to provide all resources in digital format.
The KEC College of Education offers only one program, its B.Ed which is a two-year full time programme. Such training is done with a lot of focus since the institution does neither have to spread its resources and efforts in offering training to other unrelated fields or programmes.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed: KEC College of Education imparts a two-year full-time B.Ed program as the chief goal of the institution. It has been granted authorized intake of 100 students. Admission to the B.Ed program is based on merit determined by the qualifying examination marks and/or entrance examination marks.
