Additionally, the green cover is less compared to older institutions, and the environment can feel overly academic and "school-like" due to strict discipline. Student Activities: While academics dominate, students engage in high-level technical clubs, hackathons, and symposiums like "Dhruva." The college encourages participation in national robotics competitions and coding challenges. For sports, there are facilities for basketball, volleyball, and cricket. However, if you are looking for a vibrant, relaxed arts and culture scene, you might find CIT’s heavy focus on skill-building and placement preparation somewhat restrictive.
Anything Else
CIT Chennai is an excellent choice for students prioritizing career success. The Good: Placements are outstanding, with a 95% success rate and top packages reaching ₹51 LPA. You get hands-on experience in advanced labs for Robotics and AI, making you very competitive in the job market. The Bad: The campus is small and located in a remote area. Life here is academically intense with strict rules and frequent exams, leaving less time for fun.
