ADB stands for Asian Development Bank. It is a financial organisation that supports the development of society and the economy in the Asia-Pacific area. It was created to end poverty, promote economic growth, and promote collaboration across Asia and the Pacific. It provides loans, grants, and technical assistance to help member countries' socioeconomic development. It was established on December 19, 1966, with headquarters in the Philippine city of Mandaluyong in Metro Manila. There are 68 members total, of which 49 are from within Asia and the Pacific and 19 outside. In addition to providing consulting services, the ADB frequently encourages policy discussions.
