The nine-point grading system, along with Continuous Evaluation (CE), is the grading pattern followed in the AHSLC examination.
There are two parts to the examination. Part A has eight papers, including Malayalam, Sanskrit, English, Hindi, Humanities, General Science, Mathematics, and Information Technology. Each of these papers, except Information Technology, has ten marks awarded for Continuous Evaluation and 50 marks for written examination. Information Technology has a mark distribution of 10 for CE, 10 for writing, and 20 for practical, making 40 marks. Part B has four papers. Practicals for 150 points and Stage Performance for 50 points are both practical examinations, while Theory and Literature for 50 marks each are written examinations.
