Adarsh Mahila Mahavidyalaya situated at Taranagar, Churu was come into existence from 2006 is a College of Education for women. The faculty of education of this institute is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and focused on preparing teachers. Presently the college stands on a small land of 2 acres; the college strength is having 150 students and is guided by 16 teaching faculties. The college has only one program of study, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with an approved enrollment of one hundred students per year, demonstrating the college’s intentional mission to prepare teacher trainers.

The college has many amenities that are intended to support to improve the learning environment of the students of the college. Knowledge is well contained in a library while practical experiences are obtained in the departmental laboratories. Concerning physical health, the institute has provided for exercise and as a result has exercises place and a gym. It also has an auditorium for activities such as seminars accommodating a bustling academic community. First aid installations in an Employee Health Center as well as properly developed IT helps students and promotes an effective approach to a contemporary learning process. The college canteen as well as the guest house helps make the lives as well as that of the guests comfortable.

Currently, Adarsh Mahila Mahavidyalaya only offers its two-year full time B. Ed program that serves as the college’s central academic program. It is important in that this specialized approach helps the institute to direct its resources and capacity strictly to train qualified educators. The annual intake for this course is 100 students, but the college still provides quality education because there is a limit in the number of students per class which enable the teachers to spend much time with the students.

The procedure of getting into B.Ed program at Adarsh Mahila Mahavidyalaya specially focuses on student’s academic performance. Requirements for the assessment of eligibility include pass class xII examinations, fifty percent marks in Bachelor /master degree in sciences, social sciences or humanities. Or candidates possessing with minimum Education of Bachelors of Engineering or Technology in Science & Mathematics stream with 55% marks Candidates possessing B.Tech/M.Tech Degree from a recognized University with minimum 55% Marks in respective discipline. Academic achievement is well regarded by the college and the institution aims at selecting, students with potential of becoming professional teachers.
