Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Education affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University,Chemmozhi Vellore and is located at Krishnankoil, Virudhunagar District,Tamil Nadu was established in the year 2006. Located on a 12.97 hectare campus, the college teaches three education related programmes having an aggregate admission capacity of 212 students. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Education has an approved intake of 100 students in its B.Ed program. The admission to the B.Ed course is made on merit based on marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or performance at the entrance examination. The process of selection can also include any other factor as per state government policy, UT Administration policy, or the university. Candidates should have obtained their undergraduate degree from a recognized university to be considered for the B.Ed course.
M.Ed (Master of Education):
There are 50 seats in the M.Ed program, which is merit-based, and the choice is made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam (generally a B.Ed degree) and/or the performance in the entrance test. Other selection procedures may be adopted according to state government policy, university policy, or UT Administration policy. The M.Ed program is for those candidates who wish to enhance their professional career in educational leadership and research.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The D.El.Ed course has an approved intake of 50 students. The admission to this course is also merit-based, based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or performance in the entrance examination. Selection follows the policies laid down by the state government or UT Administration. This course is suitable for the candidates who want to become teachers in elementary schools.
