Kanawati based Balkavi Bairagi Mahavidyalaya established in 2007 is one of the well known institutions in Neemuch of Madhya Pradesh. This teacher training college offers quality programmes in teacher training and was approved by the NCTE. The institute is located in a large 6 acre compound to provide conducive environment for learning. The college has a total intake capacity of 1496 students and it has 34 faculties The college is sensitive towards students needs and hence gives quality education. It provides three regular courses, the integrated B.Ed programs for difference calibre of educational needs.

It also boasts of several facilities which when put into use will complement the delivery of education in the college. A good library relatively well equipped and has current stocks provides information to the students and faculties respectively. The campus has different hostels for boys and girls who wish to be accommodated in the campus through the provision of comfortable hostels for out station students. Health care and fitness are valued with the Medical center and the fitness center on the territory of the building. 

The college canteen has health food for the students and the college has sporting facilities for the students to exercise and develop team spirit. An auditorium provides a hall for events, seminars, helping students making their campus lively. Concerning technology development, the institute is also good with good IT facilities such as internet with Wi-Fi connection in the whole campus and well equipped laboratories for practical purposes.

This college particularly concerns with the field of education, and offers a limited number of courses. The institute provides three full-time programs: B.Sc B.Ed Integrated course BA B Ed Integrated course and B Ed are other related courses are offered by the university. These courses are drafted to give successful outcomes in professions related to teaching as well as education. The total intake approved for these programs is 250, of these, 50 for B.Sc B.Ed Integrated, 100 for BA B.Ed Integrated and the remaining 100 for B.Ed. This rational allocation of seats enhances efficient use of resources and also enshrines the principle of reasonable student teacher ratio.
