Bhagwant College of Education at Ajmer was establishment in 2008 is grooted college as a constituent of Bhagwant University at Ajmer in the Rajasthan State of India. This co-educational institution situated at 5.2 acre with many features is focused on future educators. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college provides under graduate and post graduate programs in Education. Currently, Bhagwant College of Education has 38 members in faculty and the college aims to provide the right atmosphere to its students for becoming good teachers. Currently, the institute teaches six courses which are available in five degree programs: degree integrated B.Ed programs, M. Ed and doctoral level in Education.
As such, the college has made available numerous infrastructures that could help the students in their academic and other activities. There is a well equipped and state or the art library at the center of the institute which is as appropriately titled “Ocean of Knowledge” fully equipped with an efficient automated system. It has a rich stock of text and reference books, e-journals, magazines and periodicals as a one-stop information centre for the students and the faculty member. The campus has well equipped laboratory, each for physiotherapy, pharmacy, engineering, physics and chemist, etc. Conditional activities available to students includes; sports fields and facilities and body building barrack furnished with modern equipment from professional trainers and coachess. In addition, there is an auditorium used in organising both special occasions and seminars, cultural performances and debates inclusive of philosophy.
It is a full time college offering six courses where all the course are full time in nature. These include four undergraduate courses: Programs offered include the under: Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts with Education, Bachelor of Science with Education; Master of Education; and Doctor of Philosophy in Education. A total of 250 approved intake of students are admitted to the college; b) 100 for B. Ed programme, c) 50 each for B. A. B. Ed, B. Sc. B. Ed and M. Ed programmes. Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy in Education can also be pursued, but there isn’t mention of the number of intake for these research based programs.
The College follows strictly Admission Policy & Procedure and offer Admission to the eligible and deserving candidates based on marks of Qualifying/Entrance Examination. Like most colleges in the country, admission to the college is in accordance with the norms prescribed by the state government, Union Territory administration and the University. In B.Ed, B.A. B.Ed, B.Sc. B.Ed and M.Ed courses, the admissions to the respective courses are given through their Rank in the qualifying examination/ selection as per the government/ university norms.
