Newly founded in 1999, Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Information Technology, or BCIIT for short, is one of the most well-known educational institutions located in the capital city of India - New Delhi. This affiliated college with AICTE is offering specialized courses in Information Technology. Established in the year 2001, BCIIT is located in a small plot of 0.5 acre on Kalkaji and has focused more on IT education. As of now, the institutes has a total student enrolment of 82 and has a cohort of 7 committed faculty members. BCIIT has 2 degree programs through 2 courses that fully focuses on Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA).

BCIIT boasts of possessing a variety of state-of-the-art amenities that is available to the students. The institute possesses a well stocked library having in its collection more than 3000 books on IT and allied fields, magazine, newspapers and journals. This also comes with a library environment which is air-conditioned to make visitors tend to spend hours reading. The college boasts state-of-the-art IT infrastructure, maintaining a student-to-terminal ratio of 1:1, and providing students with sufficient opportunities and practice on the updated computers and legal software to be used in practice and assignments. BCIIT also comprises air-conditioned classrooms, properly equipped and adequately sized in design to contain all contemporary teaching instruments. Besides academic activities, the institute provides sporting amenities and a complete gymnasium for students. Girls as well as boys have the privilege of residing in separate hostels within the school compound to enhance orderly learner arrangements, comfort and neatness as evidenced by well-furnished rooms.

The institute offers two full-time courses: Bachelor of computer applications and Master of computer applications. This has made these programs to be developed to equip the students with the necessary knowledge on computer applications and to equip them to face the dynamic nature of IT sector. The BCA program is a three year program; the MCA program on the other hand takes two years. These courses include Full-time mode that equips students with full education and train them on what they have studied.

MCA program admission tests available are National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) as well as Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET). The admissions in the BCA program are conducted through Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (GGSIPU-CET).
