Children’s Academy College of Education, a college for teachers, Alwar, Rajasthan, came into being in 2008. Situated on Alwar–Bharatpur Highway, this affiliated college occupies only 2.18 acres of land, providing the college a compact area of learning. NCTE-recognised teacher institutes have established themselves in the field of teacher education with the approval from the National Council for Teacher Education. Currently, the college has 200 students seated and staffed with 21 faculty members, and this makes it possible for the college to facilitate an effective student-faculty ratio and quality instruction. There are four specialised courses available in the institute under three degree programmes to fulfil the educational interest of those wanting to become teachers in different fields.

Children’s Academy College of Education possesses numerous facilities that are aimed at developing the educational process and learning of the student. A substantive classroom includes a library that resources the students with a variety of information as a knowledge base. An auditorium can support events and seminars which are primarily aimed at helping produce intellectual development as well as support cultural activities. Computerised laboratories enhance the theoretical knowledge, and the information technology equipment keeps the students in touch with the modern technological equipment. Children’s Academy College of Education provides for all degrees of praising teacher education. Currently, the institute offers four full-time programmes: B.Ed, D.El.Ed, BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed. Such courses are aimed at every area of teacher training, beginning from the elementary level up to the teacher-training integrated courses, which combine the subject matter knowledge with the practical methods of teaching. The total approved intake for all courses is 350: 100 for the B.Ed course, 100 for the BA B.Ed/B.Sc B.Ed course and 50 for the D.El.Ed course. This diversity makes it possible for any aspiring educator to find a programme that suits his or her career goal and area of specialisation.

For the purpose of admission, Children’s Academy College of Education has laid down specific criteria, which are merit-based and transparent. For all programmes, admissions are given according to the marks scored in the qualifying test/entrance test without compromising the rules and regulations enforced by the state government, UT administration and the university to which the college is affiliated.
