About Guru Nanak College of Education, New Delhi

Guru Nanak College of Education (GNCE) has been established in 2003 offering teacher training facility and is issued at West Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi. It is a co-educational institution which is an affiliated college duly recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located in the middle of a small plot of 1 acres, GNCE provides students with a compact and suitable learning atmosphere to Normalise text their future profession. The college at the present has one hundred ninety four students enrolled and the college faculty has thirteen members including the management. GNCE offers only one course of study known as the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,) which is a two-year full time preparation of future teachers.

Guru Nanak College of Education has available various facilities. The library at present has over 5,700 books, 590 reference books, 90 encyclopedia, 40 dictionaries, newspapers and journals, the institution uses Koha Software. There are 25 computers with internet connection and other multimedia gadgets in the Institution Information and Communication Resource Technology Center . GNCE also has specialized laboratory in language, psychology, social and natural science where students practice more on their experiments. In the area of physical development the college provides Health and Physical Education Resource Centre which provides facilities for indoor and outdoor games.

Guru Nanak College of Education offer only B.Ed programme. As a result, this approach enables the college adequately focus on offering quality education to teachers. It turns the B.Ed course as a course that aims to enhance professional qualification of those who would like to become teachers in future while integrating theory and practice.
