The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Raichur, Karnataka runs under the mentorship of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad. The institute commenced its academic programmes in the year 2019 and will continue to function from its current transit camp set-up at the Government Engineering College of Raichur for the academic year 2020-2021. Since the institute is functioning from the transit camp of Government Engineering College, Raichur, the construction of its official campus will soon be initiated. All the facilities and amenities which are extended to the students at Government Engineering College, Raichur will also be available to the students admitted to the IIIT Raichur.

IIIT Raichur, Karnataka offers undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Technology in one specialization which is Computer Science and Engineering. The candidates must appear for the JEE Main entrance examination and JOSAA counselling rounds to gain admission to the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Raichur, Karnataka.

IIIT Raichur Location

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Raichur, Karnataka is currently functioning from its transit campus situated in Government Engineering College, Raichur; therefore, one can reach the campus which is in Yeramarus which is at a distance of 10 km from Raichur city. Local bus facilities are also available for the students to reach the GEC campus. Students must catch a bus from Raipur bus station which is 7.2 km from the GEC campus. The students must take the bus towards the stops Sangamkunta, and D. Rampur and the bus will eventually halt at Yeramarus Camp.

Students can also reach the GEC campus from Hyderabad by bus through the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stop, Terminal 30 which is well connected with Raichur and Hyderabad. After every 30 minutes, one can get a bus from Hyderabad towards Raichur. The distance between Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station, Hyderabad and Raichur is approximately 220 km. Railway facilities from Secunderabad railway station to Raichur railway station are also available. The journey is completed within 5 hours. The nearest airport which connects the GEC campus to other destinations is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad.

IIIT Raichur Scholarship

The students at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Raichur, Karnataka can avail of scholarships granted by the Government of India, MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) and UGC (University Grants Commission) and state scholarships which apply to the residents of a particular state.
