Jagmohan College of Law, Baghpat, was inaugurated in the year 2008. It is an affiliated college located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The campus is on a compact 1-acre campus in that it is dedicated to legal education and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).

Jagmohan College of Law has many facilities that the college offers and which are designed in order to make the learning experience of the students in various faculties as prodigious as possible. The college has an excellent library with a rich collection of textbooks, reference books, journals, and legal periodicals. Audiovisual facilities for the moot court inculcate the nuances of the legal practice in a practical manner. Sports facilities, an auditorium for events and seminars, and departmental laboratories facilitate hands-on learning. It also has an excellent gym, good IT infrastructure, and a cafeteria for students. The university provides guest rooms for visiting faculty and family members, fully air-conditioned classrooms with hi-tech projection systems, and has a health centre with first aid facilities to enable conducive learning and personal development. 

The college offers three full-time courses in the study area of law. Traditionally, the college has been offering a three-year LLB programme; five-year integrated B.Com. LLB programme; and a two-year LLM programme for postgraduate studies. With 240 seats, it accommodates the highest number of students in the LLB programme. The B.Com. LLB takes in 60. The total student intake into the college is 567, equal to its total intake.

Application Process

6. Counselling and Seat Allotment: After merit lists are formulated based on qualifying exams and possible entrance tests, candidates would be called for counselling interviews in which allotted seats would be based on merit and availability.

7. Fee Payment: Selected candidates will have to pay the required fees to ensure confirmation of admission.

8. Document Verification: The college will finalize admission only after verification of all submitted documents.

Degree wise Admission Process

LLB: The flagship course is the three-year LLB program, which has its own maximum intake of 240 seats. Admission to this course would typically base itself on the candidate's qualifying exam performance (a bachelor's degree in any discipline) as well as any entrance test prescribed by the parent university.

B.Com LLB: This is the five-year integrated degree program under which 60 seats are available. The admission procedure under B.Com LLB might consider the candidate's 10+2 examination results and possibly an entrance examination score. Given the limited seats, competition will be intense.

LLM: A two-year postgraduate program in LLM is also provided by Jagmohan College of Law. Admission to this program is usually offered to candidates who possess a bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from a recognized institution/university. As an admission criterion, areas covered may include the candidate's academic performance in the LLB program and possibly a further entrance test or interview.
