Affiliated college Kapi Women’s College of Education was established in 2008 which is located at Madurai, Tamil Nadu. This women only institution offers high standards of education in the area of teaching. Accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Kapi Women’s College of Education has a roll strength of two hundred and faculty of thirteen, which makes it professional college produced for educating educators. That the college is preparing social beings for service in the noble profession of teaching is well translated in special programmes and facilities.

Kapi Women’s College has made available several facilities which are intended to complement the learning facility of the students. With this in mind the library can be regarded as an important and informative source of education materials. Modern laboratories meet the practical needs of the preparation of teachers to instruct ; students are able to obtain practical experience. The college also has an event and seminar facility known as an auditorium, which enhances the rich academic activities of the college. In order to meet the current educational requirements the institution has very good communication technology standards. To support physical development and college activities, facilities for games and athletics have also been provided for. Students and staff at Marymc are provided with food in a cafeteria which they visit on campus whereas, a health is centre complete with some first aid facilities cater for the college community’s health needs.

At present, Kapi Women’s College of Education has only 9 courses that is BA, B.Com and B.Sc programmes offered in full time. This is a two-year programme and the college has an approved intake of 50 students to enable them ensure that they offer quality education to their students by having a good student-instructor ratio. This course offers the student with all the essential knowledge as well as skills required to effectively teach the students in the modern society.

Regarding admissions, Kapi Women’s College of Education follows guidelines of State Government/UT Administration and this affiliated University. Merit based scholarships are offered for admission which means the marks scored in the qualifying exam and entrance test.
