Kharagpur Vision Academy is a teacher education co-educational college recognized by the NCTE running two full-time courses. The admission procedure to Kharagpur Vision Academy has been tailored to see that deserving candidates are selected for the teacher education courses.

The Merit-based admission process is prescribed by Kharagpur Vision Academy and then qualifies a candidate by enumerating the qualifying test or marks scored in an entrance examination. If selection occurs, it is by policies put in place from the West Bengal state government, Union Territory Administration and the affiliated university. Degree wise Admission Process

• B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
  Kharagpur Vision Academy offers a two-year B.Ed course under the full-time scheme with an approved intake of 100 students every academic year. Admission to the B.Ed course is solely based on merit with regard to the marks obtained in the qualifying and/or entrance examination but a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university is, otherwise, the candidate's qualifications for entry. Other selection criteria may be laid down by the state government and other policies of the University.

• D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
  Kharagpur Vision Academy offers a 2-year full-time D.El.Ed course with a sanctioned intake of 100 students. The admission in this program is above merit lines based on the obtained marks in qualifying and/or entrance examination. Generally, to be frank, candidates need to complete the plus two level or equivalent examination to be eligible for the D.El.Ed program. The admission process follows guidelines set by the state government and relevant educational authorities.
