PCASC currently offers 21 courses everywhere from arts, business, health sciences, engineering, and more. Currently, the AF aggregate has a faculty density of 40 faculty members who work hard to ensure that students spend their time in the most effective manner. People’s Co-operative Arts & Science College aimed at dynamically enriching the education process. Being an academic library, it subscribed more than 10000 documents, 41 journals and magazines and has established digital library system to meet the needs of students. The infrastructure includes IT facilities; 60 PCs with broadband connections; course Students are therefore conversant with these technologies. Availability of facilities The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls for residential students The food served is both vegetarian and non vegetarian. The college also prioritises physical well-being with sports facilities and a spacious, well-furnished canteen that operates from 8:from 30 am to 5 pm of the following working days.

Current PCASC has 21 courses . The undergraduate programmes include B.Com (Computer Applications, Cooperation, and Finance) BBA, BTTM, BSW, and many more BA, B.Sc programmes. At post graduate level courses like M.Sc Computer Science, M.Com Finance, MTTM, MA Economics, MSW and MCJ are available for students. The college has been sanctioned intake capacity of 555, distributed amongst all the undergraduate programmes offered, with B.Com Computer Applications having the maximum intake of 60 seats.

People's Co-operative Arts and Science College, Munnad (PCASC), is an affiliated college in Kerala, India, situated in the Kasaragod district, it offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the arts, science, and commerce streams. The college utilizes a rigorous selection process aimed at admitting the most deserving candidates into its various programs. This procedure starts every year after the announcement of the results of the 12th standard examination, usually in the month of May or June of a new academic year starting in August-September.  PROCEDURE: Eligibility criteria for admission differ according to the program. 

Undergraduate programs normally require successful completion of the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level or equivalent qualification from a recognized board of education; subject-specific requirements may also apply in some cases. For example, candidates seeking admission to B.Sc Mathematics must have studied Mathematics at the 12th standard level. For postgraduate programs, candidates must possess a graduate degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.  which is the 12th standard examination for UG and Bachelor's for PG programs; certain programs may also adopt other criterions or even conduct an interview as the basis of selection for professional courses such as BBA, BTTM, and BSW.

Application Process

1. Announcement: The college will advertise the admission announcements on its website and in selected local newspapers, usually after the 12th standard results are declared.

2. Application Form: Candidates can collect the application from the college office or download the form from the website.

3. Form Filling: An applicant is also required to fill in the form carefully, ensuring that all personal and academic particulars are put in correctly.

4. Document Submission: Along with the duly filled application form, the candidates must submit

  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets (originals and photocopies)
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Conduct Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Passport-size photographs (recent)

5. Application Submission: Duly filled application forms, along with all necessary enclosures, must be submitted to the college office on or before the last date.

6. A merit list will be drawn of candidates based on qualifying examination results and additional criteria defined for individual programs.

7. Counselling: Selected candidates may be called for counselling, during which they can select their course of preference based on their rank and the availability of seats.

8. Admission: The candidates selected have to pay their fees and complete the admission formalities by the deadline so as to reserve a seat for themselves.

9. Orientation: Orientation for students is usually a prerequisite before the commencement of classes after being inducted into college.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Com: The PCASC conducts B.Com programs in Computer Applications, Cooperation, and Finance. The total intake for B.Com courses is 150 seats. Candidates are selected on the basis of the percentage marks obtained by them in the 12th standard, with additional consideration to the commerce and mathematics marks.

B.Sc: The college offers B.Sc programs in Mathematics, Geography, Computer Science, and Psychology. The overall intake for B.Sc courses is 90 seats. To apply, candidates must have had the relevant subjects in their 12th standard.

BA: BA programs are available in Economics, Functional English, Malayalam, and History. The total intake for BA courses is 90 seats. Admissions take place on the basis of 12th standard scores in relevant subjects.

BBA: The Bachelor of Business Administration program has an intake of 40 seats. The selection process may include consideration of 12th standard marks and possibly an interview.

BTTM: The Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management program has 30 seats. Admission may involve an aptitude test or interview along with 12th standard marks.

BSW: The Bachelor of Social Work program has 30 seats. The selection process might include an interview to ascertain the candidate's aptitude for social work.

M.Com: M.Com Finance has 25 seats. Admissions will be based on merit obtained by the candidate in B.Com or equivalent degree.

M.Sc: M.Sc Computer Science is offered with a capacity of 20. Candidates with a degree in Computer Science or allied area will be considered.

MSW: The Master of Social Work program has 20 seats. An entrance test and interview could be included in the admission procedure.

MTTM: The Master of Travel and Tourism Management program has 15 seats for applicants with relevant bachelor's degrees.
