Rameshwar Singh teachers training college, Gaya, is now hailed as one of the best institutes of teacher education in Bihar. This college has the recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, and is intended for courses that teach how to train teachers.  The process of admission into Rameshwar Singh Teachers Training College is directed by the by-laws on State control regarding teacher training programs. Two programs have been dominated by the college: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), activities running for two years. B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): Rameshwar Singh Teachers Training College has a total intake capacity of 150 seats for the B.Ed. program. The basis for admission is the performance of candidates in the B.Ed. admission test conducted by the state of Bihar. Admission to the B.Ed. program will be generated on merit list produced on the basis of details of verified candidates qualifying with a valid scorecard of the entrance examination at a Bihar state level. The duration of the course is two years, and it aims to provide comprehensive training to future teachers at the secondary and higher secondary level.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): This two-year diploma training program offers training for teachers at the elementary level pertaining to pedagogical and other teaching skills appropriate to young learners. Admission to the D.El.Ed. program will be held on merit basis with candidates selected for entry based on qualifying examination and/or entrance examination as per state government policy. The D.El.Ed. program has 100 seats available for admission.
